  1. Actually you are wrong, he was ever present until the end of November when he picked up a knock, the next game he was supposed to be on the bench but refused, the next game he played was against Palace where he strolled about and clearly didn't want to be there and after that was the Oxford debacle when he was pulling up his socks watching a 4th division player run past and score. Not long after that a lot of Swansea fans were celebrating, not believing the luck. I honestly thought he would help save your season as he can do it if he really tries, I wasn't so confident he would remain mentally with it past the end of the season though.
  2. That's what Monk tried to do, build the team around Shelvey
  3. Like refusing to sit on the bench or visibly not trying and passing to opposition when under no pressure having a strop because he was dropped for a few games.
  4. Swansea 1 Man City 1 (should be 2-1)
  5. Swansea game should be 1-1, Mike Dean ruled out a perfectly good Swansea goal
  6. At least a great boozy trip to Burton on Trent next year, do a brewery tour when your there
  7. http://www.swanseacity.net/news/article/guidolin-agrees-new-swans-deal-3108888.aspx 2 year deal signed
  8. I think he's going to be a good thing for us, some of our fans think its bad because of our recent games against you guys and Leicester, but overall he's been very good as the results since he arrived. We were 18th when he was appointed, 21 games and 19 points. We are now 11th with 46 points, that's 27 points from 16 games. He took over a poor team with no confidence and openly stated he would not change things too quickly, which he didn't. He has a reputation of coaching players to get the best out of them, he wouldn't pick Montero as he said he needed to work on his defensive duties, when he did eventually pick him you could see the difference. I'm looking forward to next season now.
  9. http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/36262303 good news for Swans fans at least
  10. Swansea ended 4-1, nearly got a 5th at the end
  11. I had given him a contract weeks ago, most Swans fans want him to have the job but it seems Rodgers is coming back. Rarely a good thing when someone returns to a club.

Quite remarkable that Sunderland and Norwich's last two games will be against the same opposition, Everton and Watford. Lets hope both are not at the beach, neither has anything to play for and looking like both will change manager in the summer so no-one to impress.
  13. You guys are lucky, looks like we don't want to score
  14. Good luck today guys. Not sure what Swansea you'll see, on the plus side Guidolin has stated he's played it safe since he came due to our position, now we're safe the shackles are off and he wants a more aggressive attacking team from here on in. On the other hand there's a lot of off field drama with the possible sale of the club to some innocent American vultures. Hope its a good game whatever.
  15. If you want to get back to Keegan'esc playing, I couldn't see further that Laudrup. Whether he'd manage in the Championship though.
  16. Which terrifies me as a Swansea fan as it appears our well publicised Swans loving board are apparently selling out to some American venture capatalists who have a bad reputation as owners of DC United
  17. I honestly thought Shelvey would save your season as he is a very good player when his mind is right. Monk lost his job though by trying to build a team around him. What really makes me hate him is his final month when he got a strop on, he made zero effort and it could be seen, he stated he wanted out because he was dropped, the truth was he was injured for a game and refused to be on the bench the next game and after that he decided he wanted out and showed how unprofessional he is on the field of play. He threw the game against Palace and went through the motions against Oxford, watching a 4th division player as he run past him to score. Such a waste of talent, why couldn't someone who gives a damn be given that talent.
  18. It's something someone mentioned on our forum, Shelvey being in the team forced Siggy to be moved from his best position, since Shelvey's gone Siggy has had the run of his best area of play and returned to his best form.

I'm amazed everyone who's done the predictor has us down to lose every single one of our last 6 games, considering we've averaged 1.6 points per game since Guidolin was appointed. Yes we have a tough run in, but not a single point?
  20. It's a funny old game, we bring Montero on for the first time in months and it's gone from 0-2 to 2-2 against Stoke
