  1. i'd still player ranger/lovenkrands up top ahead of carroll/harewood personally.
  2. i don't know what he was trying to do with that lay-off from lovenkrands at the end, was he trying to chip the keeper or something? you'd think he'd have just leathered it after pete put it on a plate for him. that said like, i'd have rather lovenkrands had taken it left footed himself after creating the space
  3. dunno about that, he signed george weah's 'mate' ali dia and made them look as daft as we do a lot of the time. i think the galatasaray supporters are the only ones who really liked him as a manager
  4. might take him a while to recognise what that is.... it's the same fella who lost something, thought he'd been burgled when he couldn't find it, then found it under one of his hats or something* *i can't remember what he lost, and he might not have found it under a hat... but i think it might be a while before all hell breaks loose i'd still like to see him in a green shirt at the world cup though, even if just so he could send it as a picture message to shay given
  5. Come on, man. Enough venom. Do what's natural. Support the Green and White. especially if wor' shola's going to be leading the line
  6. he must have been so badly advised / dense. how do you waste so much money?! i know gazza had some hangers on but oba must have a mariah carey style entourage
  7. i'd have him back here tbh
  8. this could be why everyone thinks shola's still young and full of potential...
  9. good luck shola! i'd have to get a nigeria shirt with ameobi on if he did that
  10. the away goals rule inconsistent refereeing teams that play in red and white stripes penalty shoot outs involving england/nufc the 'deluded geordie' stereotype

    JFK

oh aye they'd love that as much as terry venables getting the job
  12. press conference today @3pm. word on the street is patrick kluivert's signing
  13. because he liked to set up elaborate traps to torture people into seeing the error of their ways nah, it's because he was a poor finisher and went to pieces in the box, much like a jigsaw
  14. that reminds me of a mackem i saw (in sunderland) outside the royalty pub on chester road, smashing bottles of brown ale he bought, just because they came from newcastle and had the tyne bridge. it was after one of the derbies at their place, i think it was the 1-1 andy o'brien equaliser
  15. dennis bergkamp ... he's managing one of the ajax youth teams whilst doing his coaching. i think he'll make a good manager

    Tamas Kadar

glad him and his folks are ok it's a bit random though, a herd of wild boar
  17. i like that. it would be fantastic if it actually is real
  18. Liverpool finished something like 3 points behind Man Utd at the end of last season. Chelsea are currently top with Arsenal second. Could you point out which 2 of the 4 you're referring to? Which two teams have won the Premiership for the last I don't know how long. Even if you include the big 4 then, the Premier League is twice the size of the SPL so instead of having two big teams you have 4. There is no real difference. When was the last time Rangers or Celtic didn't win the league? f*** it, when was the last time they weren't the top two? When Fergie was around in the 80s? burnip in terms of averse to change, which domestic leagues in world football have drastically changed and improved in the last 10-20 years? Supporting tradition isn't necessarily the same as being averse to change. I can't think of any system that wouldn't allow crap teams (to watch) to survive in the top flight. Yorkie's spot on, you can't just change the rules because it isn't as easy on the eye. my dad was saying (dunno if he's right or not) about 30 years ago or so the sfa changed the gate receipts policy from the revenue being split equally between both teams to the revenue just going to the home team, and with rangers and celtic having much bigger grounds and getting more fans in that was where the divide between them and the rest of the league started.
  19. new russia one... http://www.footballshirtculture.com/images/image/Russia-10-12-home-adidas-kit.jpg don't know if i like that or not? i can imagine next season liverpool having the same kit
  20. ah thats horrible news. hope he gets well soon. might be a career ending injury at his age, hopefully not though
  21. him and howey must have been best mates with the amount of time howey spent in the fitness room he's always seemed a nice fella derek
  22. as much as it pains me to say it, adidas are losing the plot. those mexico/spain ones aren't too good. the spain one looks a bit like their world cup 2002 one, which is a shame because the last couple of spain shirts have been nice. the mexico one just doesn't look right. i bought the mexico 2006 one, that was a smart shirt
