  5. Phil was disappointed with the editing in that piece, in actual fact the altercation was him single handidly defeating the entire geordie army, previous to this he inspired toons fairs cup victory and now as the only person ever to leave the north east he is the spiritual advisor to both Newcastle and Sunderland, whilst of course occasionally watching training at Hull in between his charity work and life saving antics. Doesnt want to talk about it though.... i had a manager like that where i used to work, all his stories started with 'aaarr mate....' the pick of the bunch being how he slept (allegedly) with this girl who then got in touch with him to tell him to get checked out at the v.d clinic. he says he got his results a few days later and the doctors called him in to tell him they wanted him to donate a pint of blood every month to durham university because he had a certain cell in his blood stream which made him immune to s.t.i's i imagine how i felt with that knacker in charge is exactly how the hull players feel everyday. i'd have loved to have seen windass flatten him for dumping him after his goals got them promoted

    Man City

aye, something along those lines. i think after getting bombed out of liverpool to west ham he got another golden ticket in man city coming in. i don't think he'll blow this like he did liverpool so is playing wherever hughes wants him to.

  11. That cant be why they got rid of him surely ? nah, probably not, i'm just having a laugh. although it wouldn't surprise me...
  12. it's a bit like the fascists, sacking the programme editor after it was pointed out in the legal papers that the club (dennis wise) had said keegan was in charge of transfers in the programme. ashley : 'we can't trust that programme fella again...'
  13. yes, i'd have keegan back in a heartbeat. let's hope ashley sells up soon and we can put these past couple of years behind us.
  14. what of these 'parachute payments'? when are they supposed to come in? surely one of them could cover any payouts to KK, and shouldn't affect any sale of the club?
  15. and 'bargain hunter' 'arry jumped ship first chance he got, after having sailed it straight into the path of the iceberg. - liking the nautical references to portsmouth?
  16. "The future's bright, the future's orange" excellent! i nearly did spit tea all over the monitor there.

    Lookalikes

^ i did think that the other day when i saw a football mag, probably four four two, with messi in an argentina shirt with his new pudding bowl do.
  23. I'd say being bothered will be his biggest challenge this season. Didnt really look arsed earlier on, maybe he was angling for a move. now he is stuck here and morale looks good he might be a bit more focused. I don't think he'll ever be a big goalscorer, his striking of a football just isnt very good. Nolan on the other hand has a good shot and header on him and has demonstrated he can score regularly in the past. i think for him last season he wasn't fit and we werent creating a lot anyway. Now he is up against players even less fit than he is he's doing fine. yeah, i suppose argentina playing shite has to help, he'll want to play well to get in their team, but has been getting into the squad so it doesn't necessarily mean he'll have to jump ship.
  24. Hope he washes it after every match then, if it's been in his shorts since he signed it'll not half reek
  25. I know he wore a Toon shirt when they played Newcastle. Not sure about elsewhere, like. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2448/3619750597_ac9aeb8491.jpg i'm sure i remember seeing a video of them with him wearing the 03-05 home shirt at some point too
