  1. the media do love their stereotypes like: we've got - the 'boycoutt' kids / the baldy shirts off's liverpool - shell suited tashed types man city - people that look like ian brown/the gallagher's
  2. Lescott for me. Upsons been good, but Lescotts been better, and for longer. yeah, i'd have to agree. i'd have lescott in ahead of upson. i personally still do rate woodgate very highly too, but he's probably injured again
  3. you'd have to assume england would go for the jugular tonight, more so to say they're @ wembley. i dare say crouch can play a big role, knocking down to rooney. i've not seen a great deal of walcott to be honest, what's his crossing like?
  4. if he wants to go, then fair does ... provided we get top dollar for him.
  5. it wouldn't surprise me. bunch of useless cock-ends. if true, he really is on a mission to destroy the club
  6. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/nufc/newcastle-united-news/2009/06/10/ace-defender-bassong-wants-to-quit-crisis-club-72703-23834751/2/ ^ latest paper-talk re: bassong
  7. *nods head* brilliant day indeed. was that the last time we saw les, tino and big al in the same team too?
  8. i'm not so keen on the polka dot away one but the home psg one is well smart
  9. Neither had fuk all on Alan Smith. http://www.laroma24.it/IMG/Alan%20smith-Arsenal.jpg smith: 'and i'd have got more england caps if it wasn't for that meddling gary lineker'
  10. Much better than most really. But it's a bit of a discredit to Kaka as on his day he's absolutely brilliant. Shame the last few seasons he hasn't really hit those heights he had previously. Although then again I really have a dislike for Real Madrid so I hope he doesn't really do anything of note. Kaka's superb, but I think Zidane is the best player I've seen. Never saw enough of Ronaldo at his peak to be able to say whether he was any better or worse. Trust me. No matter how good Zidane was, Ronaldo was better. I love how the mere suggestion that Ronaldo may not have been better than someone whose played since will inevitably bring some sort of response from you. People just need reminding how good he was for that brief period man. I've seen nothing like it. aye, when he was @ barcelona he was phenomenal - power, pace, strength, skill. he had the complete package. he scored something like 34 goals in 37 games in la liga iirc. no one has scored as many goals in la liga in one season since
  11. i do like that 'mita copiers' one with the laced collar i lost an ebay auction for a parma away shirt like that the other week
  12. led zeppelin - dazed and confused
  13. He's good at diagrams... ...why do I waste my time?
  14. well on past form, we'd still be pretty fucked waiting for that to happen
  15. Kenny Dogleash http://www.profitablegroup.com/group-executives.aspx If he is with them maybe he's looking at being Chairman/Director of Football whilst Shearer takes over, after all he always liked the club. All I know is I'd be happy with that if more so to just get rid of the fat leeching t***. yup, i'd be happy with that like, still can't help but feel it's just bollocks to sell papers though, and we'll be left with hughton and kinnear in charge, no new signings and a decimated squad come august
  16. sounds about right like. can be the only way he became a billionnaire, cos he couldn't organize a piss up in a brewery judging by what he's done with newcastle in the last 2 years
  17. really sad to hear that, condolensces to his family. r.i.p
  18. i somehow get the feeling it's from a re-hashed article from last january, with shearer's name in place of keegan's
  19. yup... i wouldn't blame big al for walking at this point. so much for it being 'the best decision they ever made bringing shearer in' then string him along re: taking the job full time
  20. yup ... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/leagues/premierleague/newcastle/5084049/Steve-Bruce-would-love-to-manage-Newcastle-if-Joe-Kinnear-does-not-return.html
  21. on rtg they seem to think cattermole would be a good signing
  22. doncaster are interested in beckford, says sky sports. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_5363849,00.html
  23. Hoe do you work that out? New manager who likes to play football, they'll be more open and will get cut to pieces. Just my opinion like but we'll see. That was supposed to happen in the Championship when Swansea went up. He'll keep Wigan up next season, I am sure there will be funds there for him to spend plus he will make a fortune on Antonio Valencia going to a big club. The talk is that he has immense contacts in Spain, hence why he was able to bring some very good Spaniards to Swansea. Jordi Gomez is a very good example of this and is Ranghel (Sp?). aye, but can he pronounce n'zogbia properly?
