They didn't just rock up yesterday. Eales has been here long enough. Mitchell has been here since July and will have been involved since the get go. Even if that isn't enough time, why wasn't he and other members of the recruitment team appointed earlier. We've finished the summer weaker than we started it and for me, Howe now faces an uphill battle to qualify for Europe, the ramifications of failing to do so on our ability to keep our best players is clear. Plenty of the criticism is completely valid.

Dunno how anyone can say this window hasn't been mismanaged like. The thing is the money is there. We just waited on Guehi too long and now we're trying to panic buy Elanga on deadline day. Should have set a deadline on Guehi giving us enough time to bring in other targets. Piss poor man, no two ways about it.

Toney has clearly thought fuck it, and gone to maximise his earnings. Funny that no PL club has signed him despite begging for it for months to the point where he was downright disrespectful to Brentford. Look a bit daft now. 3 PL seasons, 36 goals, 0 European appearances and no impact at international level. Will be forgotten about in 10 years. He'll be rich as fuck mind.

Which why it never made sense to put all of our eggs in one basket for the entirety of the window.

So now we're into the 'Guehi is the only player in the entire world we could have signed and made a positive impact' territory.

If we had 70m to spend, you cant just say we have one target and one target only. Spend it right of course, but there needs to be other options instead of one player who is clearly out of reach. Unless of course, they've all made a decision whereby they're happy with the squad and Guehi was the only player that'd improve it, but its clear as day we're weak in several areas. Palace have played the club for absolute fools tbh

Disgraceful window being honest. A season after being in the CL and we've went a winter and then a summer window without making any improvements to the first XI. PSR constraints aside, there is clearly money there.

Having one target for the entire summer is absolutely mental. What if the selling club wants us to pay over the odds for him? What do we do then? Well that's what's happened. Why has our summer consisted of Guehi or bust?

I really don't think being 4 days away from going through two transfer windows without improving the first XI is bedwetting like.

If we have money to spend, which, given we've bid for Guehi we seemingly do, why the fuck haven't we made single first XI signing? I'm fairly astounded that we haven't improved the first XI for two windows. Needing a right winger is glaringly obvious

Sick of the sight of Neville like. You can't fucking escape him. Whatever football you're watching, he'll be there. He's all over social media. Has about 3 or 4 shows from which clips are always been shared. I went to Kendal Calling the other week and for some reason he was doing a fucking DJ set in one of the tents. He's BBC poster boy, football, the one show, they loved him. Must have done something really shan.

Livramento is a very good defender, defensively better than Trippier, but doesn't come anywhere close to him going forward at the minute. I think we miss the Trippier we had until halfway through last season. He was a massive outlet. He improved every player he had in front of him and so much of our play came from him. Easily the best full back we've ever had, the definition of elite level. He made Ryan Fraser look good ffs. There's an argument were more balanced now but we definitely miss his ability on the ball. Still think he has a part to play tbh but Livramento becoming first choice had to happen at some point. Seems Howe has decided it's now.
