Even if he does come back in February, he's almost 33 and barely any football since 2023. He'll be a shadow of his former self. Ideally we'd be looking at a striker in January, regardless of his injury status.

Think Potter is a great appointment. Forward thinking coach who did a tremendous job at Brighton. Mourinho odds on for Everton. Would keep them up at least, which is all they really need for now. Unlikely imo but could still go down under Dyche. Has Mourinho ever managed a team that isn't expected to compete at the top end? Would be interesting to see how he gets on. His style might be suited to dragging a club into the top half.

Thought Arsenal were worse tonight than Spurs were on Saturday. Particularly in the second half. We were brilliant but it's one of those that could have went either way. Havertz and Martinelli both should have scored and they missed chances from headers. Hey-ho, that's the way it goes. I'd have been alright with a 1-0 loss tonight. 2-0 is dreamland.
