I'm behind Howe and I'm still backing him to turn it round, but I have some serious reservations. The first one is the tactical shift away from an intense pressing side. It hasn't worked and will he be able to fix it? Maybe, given time but it's not going to clock overnight. We need a clear vision in terms of transfers. Some of which could hand been foreseen, some of which is entirely his doing but the summer window has fucked us. Paul Mitchell must be creased. We need a balance between players who'll fit into a system and players who are a good deal. Can we imagine this version of Howe signing Bruno? A slow, technical midfielder with no PL experience. No chance.

Your agent doesn't make those kind of statements unless you tell him too. Nothing we don't already know though. "Wait and see" sounds like if we don't get CL, he'll probably want off, which you can understand to a degree. Same for the others that think they should be at the top level. Think he's looked lost this season. His passing is generally poor and that's highlighted in a team that lacks cohesion, has no movement and can't retain possession. The fact our intensity has dropped off doesn't suit him either. If Howe is going to go back to our ultra intense counter press then Tonali is a key part of it. If we're going to persist with this tactical transition, I'd probably take the money and try and get someone more suited to the way Howe wants to play.

https://www.brentfordfc.com/en/news/article/watch-the-warm-up-getting-to-know..............phil-giles-550873 Season Ticket holder here from 1990 until 2015. Feel like his role at Brentford wouldn't bare much relevance to what were trying to do here like. Maybe next in line for when Wilson ends up on gardening leave next year.

Get players in around him and players in front of him and he'll flourish. Too isolated at the moment. Id like us to give two forwards a go, with him up top with Wissa. Or a system where he's able to exploit the space between the lines. Maybe an option if the Crown Prince Anthony Gordon is injured and doesn't get his automatic starting spot. Or of course, we could carry on with 4-3-3, leaving forwards isolated, wingers too far down the pitch and gaping holes between our defence and midfield.

Just seen Liverpools 4th on Saturday. Needs replaced in the summer. 100%

A PL team signing Adam Armstrong is the most 'preparing for the Championship' signing ever like. Reckon he'll look abysmal and score 1 PL goal between now and the end of the season before notching a healthy 16 next year on their way to promotion.

If you're of the persuasion that he's done here, who would you have instead? Genuinely interested in the responses...

The players we have brought in have arguably fucked us. We were in desperate need of a refresh and either A. The players can't fit into the system he's trying to play B. They're not good enough. Imo, Elanga aside who's shown very little, it's more A than B. Either way, the buck largely stops with him and he needs to fix it. Else it's only going to end one way. I think the tactical change, from an intense pressing side to whatever we are supposed to be now hasn't worked. There's too much space behind the lines, the wingers don't get close enough to the forwards, the midfield looks lost and we don't move the ball quick enough to break teams down. Id still back him to fix it given time, particularly because the replacement options don't fill me with confidence. He's a hardworking manager and I think he should be given time. You don't want to end up like Spurs, appointment manager after manager that can't win enough games. Managers might suit teams like Brentford where the pressure isn't on, it's not the case here. Having said that, it can't go on like this away from home forever.

No way he goes to England

More chance of me riding Sydney Sweeney this summer than selling for those fees

A damning indictment of our window against Liverpool. Two strikers on the bench whilst Gordon starts up top. Thiaw at fault for two goals. Ramsay completely anonymous. Elanga rubbish on the ball. If we could go back to the summer I'd sign none of them except for Thiaw.

His game management is honking. Wed completely ran out of ideas by the 60th minute and we were inviting pressure. Yet he hasn't made a change until we're 3-1 down and 72 mins in.
-
Most of what he does is quality. It's just that the clangers are horrific. Titus Bramble levels of playing well and then costing goals. He gave Ekitike acres for the second. Directly at fault for the third.

Needed a change before now. We ran out of ideas. Yet Howe has done fuck all.
-
That's fucking woeful from Thiaw
-
He's gonna score against us game after game like
-
Fucking come onnnn
-
We've been so much better than them so far
-
Gordon will get sent off here. Fuck knows why he's starting up front like.

Can't make head nor tail of this team. 4-3-3? With Gordon up top? And Botman dropped!? -
Bobb is just another City young player that might work out and might not. McAtee went to Forest for 24m and has barely played. Southampton spent 20m on Harwood-Bellis and hes currently playing in the Championship. For every Cole Palmer or Liam Delap there's an Ihenacho. Players who have played a handful of games at teams like City and are deemed surplus to requirements are always a risk.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cm2yp21zjzqo Sterling has gone from Chelsea. Wonder what he got to terminate his contract. No chance Id be giving up 325K per week for the next 18 months when I've been finished at the top level for a while.

Would like to see 5 3 2. Thin if we go back to 4-3-3 Wirtz will be given the freedom of Anfield between the lines and cause us loads of problems. -
Looked this up and we beat Southampton in the Fairs Cup the year after we won it.

Wouldn't mind us drawn to face Chelsea. I'd fancy our chances against them over two legs more than I would Barcelona Feel like De Jong and Pedri would murder us again.
