I've said for years there's corruption in refereeing. Anywhere where that much money is at stake, and with a governing organisation such as FIFA, it's naive to believe there won't be corruption. RVP not being charged, for the reason listed above, is just the latest in a long line of evidence.

The issue is that with the way we play, which is too often lobbed long balls, you need to be playing Ameobi with one of Ba or Cisse, since he acts as the target man and holding up the ball is his strength. I agree that Ba and Cisse could work, but it would take more focused play through the centre and we don't really do that enough.

Just saw that Ben Arfa and Ba are our only two goalscorers this season in the Premier League...

Cisse scoring was good, and Tavernier looks like he will make it. Vuckic, Gosling and Marveaux though? Nah.

As happened in the last game, our set pieces are so weak they're more of a risk than a help. It's more likely that the opposition will break and score than it is that we will. I'd rather we took short corners occasionally, or tried Cabaye doing that Gerrard style run across the box. Just mix it up.

Hearing that he wakes in pain everyday, because of his ankle, makes me feel for the lad.
