  1. Oh yes. The world renowned bastion of morality that is CAF should win this one. Nothing good will ever come out African football unfortunately until Hayatou and his ilk are removed from power.
  2. You're fully entitled to your opinion of course, I just struggle to see how that opinion can be formed around a guy who has left every club he has managed (bar Levy-backed spurs) in deep shit, and has achieved close to nothing special in football. He's also getting on a bit now, and is nothing like what we desperately need at NUFC. We need someone with dignity and honesty and a bit of ability to start with.
  3. Appointing Redknapp would be even more farcical than appointing Pardew ffs It would end in disaster though, rather than just plain impotence.
  4. Seriously?? Personally don't want another slack jawed no-mark charlatan to take over and pretend he knows what he's doing. Rather have Carver than Harry fucking Redknapp.
  5. Very fair assessment i would say. Couple of crosses from Haidara and Janmaat that Ayoze got on the end of but couldn't finish. Our possession play at the back and midfield was decent today, but then again our midfield was up against no marks like Huddlestone, Meyler and Livermore.
  6. Straightforward stuff. Feels so refreshing to not be hearing old al pards speak about NUFC.
  7. Tbf Shola's career stats must be up there with the best that a mickey mouse club like Palace have ever seen
  8. I love Shola Ameobi as long as he stays well clear of this club. In this case I couldn't be happier for Palace getting such a...."talented" forward. His first feature on the Palace website will be about how this is his year!

I think he was completely out of line abusing the fans the way he did after the shambles that 2014 was. He deserved every bit of doubt and mistrust sent his way. He talks a big game, but has never actually achieved anything in football apart from be Sir Bobby's assistant many years ago. Many people rightly see him as part of the old boys club who are happy to steal a living from NUFC without actually providing much value. The only upside of hearing his interviews is that I don't have to hear al pards mmm and aaaahhh, his incoherent English and his arrogant twang. I agree that his behaviorist at the Southampton game was despicable and of course he shouldn't be our manager but the hatred towards him here is of Pardewesque proportions. It's quite normal for him to be hated by association. I'm only hoping that deep down he knew al pards was shit and understood the mistakes he made, and despite his limited ability will try to put them right. Keeping Gouffran out of midfield would be a start. Let's see what he does when he has Aarons, De Jong and Abeid available.

Seems that this guy is much more desperate to win games than Pardew ever was. I hope that this is really the case. The entire lot of them owe us big time, and the least they can do, coaches and players, is give us a half decent end to the season by playing with effort, pride and some f***ing entertainment. Would love to be wrong, but I'm not holding my breath.
  12. Drawing lots in this case is farcical. Football's organizing body is in a right state, it's embarrassing. No doubt it will now be about who "wants it" more and can show love ($$$$) to Hayatou and co.
  13. Make it more about the passive day out craic than about the football. Makes sense.
  14. So spitting and deliberately trying to injure and inflame opponents with physical aggression is now being celebrated, and we need more of it? Seriously? The likes of Costa and Suarez have enough ability to rile up the opponents by wreaking havoc on them footballing wise. There is not a single excuse for their extra-curricular activities on the pitch that they are now more famous for.
