... THIS IS NOT TRUE. We've performed badly as a team for 2 bloody years, since the day Pardew was appointed. Scraping wins through individual brilliance or getting lucky were our only routes to perceived success. But then our luck ran out, Demba Ba ran out, Ben Arfa limped out and Cisse was shunted out (to the right wing). Now the orchestrator of all this needs to be run out. Blaming our perfomances on the team's heads dropping is utter bullshit. It's down to mis-management and our abhorent tactics. Suggesting otherwise is at best being blind to the problems and at worst is an outrageous lie. However I agree we need to get behind the team for the games. That's obvious. But lets not pretend that we can't do that AND try to run Pardew out for spoiling what is an otherwise potentially very good side. Playing under Pardew must be like trying to ignore a turd in a swimming pool whilst everyone tells you to just get on and enjoy your swim. In theory you should be able to get on and do what you're there to do, but you surely can't give it your best and even the most professional amongst us would eventually start to suggest that if the poo isn't removed, they're getting out and finding a different pool. spot on with the analogy. excellent post

And someone was trying to defend the stewardship of Ashley & co on here the other day. Shameful. We are run on a shoestring in comparison to the majority of the PL. I don't disagree, but by all accounts we thought we had Remy in the bag in January. He would have been a massive boost. You are right. What eats at me though is 2 years ago the powers that be stated not signing anyone in January as reasonable because that transfer window resulted in falsely inflated prices. We then fail to sign anyone in the summer bar Anita, then scramble around in January at complete odds with the former statement. Again, at the risk of sounding like I'm defending them, they did shell out for Cisse last January. They won't pay overinflated prices, but they'll pay up when a good deal pops up. They fucked up the summer majorly, and we're currently paying for it with this season. Unfortunately whatever they saved in the summer may end up costing them an absolute fortune (and us our club in the top flight). Absolutely mental. -
How do his teams play out of interest? Can't really remember his tenure at Boro. I suppose he did work under Fergie so will know a thing or two. But then so did Dr. Quieroz.

This is it. End of discussion on Jonas. -
Agree with all of that Word Come on, it's hardly rocket science. Journalists are getting way too much credit for stating the bleeding obvious here "use ben arfa moar, drop jonas, don't play sissoko wide". They're all more interested in blaming the french legion, the Europa League etc.. than actually saying what's really wrong with us. This contributor has it spot on and has said things no one else has pointed out in the media. It's not rocket science but at least someone has shed a light on it ffs.

I agree. The mind boggling thing though is how last season we had some games where we actually went for it on the whole. Stoke, West Brom and Bolton away, as well as the home matches against Man Utd and Liverpool off the top of my head. Why is it not a basic characteristic of his football when it has produced some great results? Spurs and Wigan away last season we were torn to shreds and were never in the game. The other two away games you mention there we had a proper go, and it blew up in our faces. Two different circumstances though. At Old Trafford we nearly came away with a point. The Arsenal result ended up a freak result, and isn't the sort of thing that will happen every week. Can't get my head around his archaic way of thinking. It must be a fear factor in him, probably because he knows that overall, and in the long term, he's just not good enough.

I understand your sentiments, but you only have to look at Leeds Utd, Nottingham Forest, Derby County, Birmingham City, the two Sheffield clubs etc. to realize that no matter how historical you are, the gap between the top division and the rest is so big that your once historical club can easily disappear into oblivion. -

I think the key to this is playing two strikers. Cisse needs every help he can get. Gouffran does a shit load of running and can easily open spaces up for Cisse. Throw HBA in behind them and the WH defence will have a lot to worry about. I've said it before and I'll say it again, we do not need to play with width in midfield because we don't have the personnel for it. Give HBA the chance to play in the position he can do most damage in and give Cisse some fucking support! Do WH have any key players missing? -
What the fuck is that shit? He and WBA can fuck right off.

It's like a slow lingering wait on death row. Why did this season have to go on so long, can't they just shoot us now? That cheated handball goal at Wigan could be the most costly refereeing mistake in the history of English football. If we had a decent manager and people at the top who knew what they were doing, the Wigan hand-ball wouldn't have mattered one bit... Using this as an excuse for being relegated is REALLY grasping at straws.... I wasn't using it as an excuse, you've just conveniently read that into it. It was however an extremely significant incident. Correct. And a match we did not deserve to lose.

Going to be a big big miss in the coming weeks. Absolute bastard of a season

I'm fucking terrified man. What in the actual fuck?

Hughton had us safe as houses with a far inferior squad, I personally think he could have done a decent job with better players and it's a shame he wasn't given the chance to. I don't see how he wasn't a leader either, he's one of the most important figures in our recent history for the way he led us out of the Championship when everyone was petrified we'd be down there for a number of years. The post was not a sleight on Hughton. He's a football man through and through (cliche I know), and he managed to do well because of that. I'm alluding to the fact that Pardew is neither a leader or a football guru, whereas at least Hughton knew what he was doing. Plus Hughton has far more experience working under some top names in management, so he'll have seen it all.
-
The french players that are here all came to be part of a "project". The club and Pardew must have really made one hell of a pitch when they met. They obviously now realize that Pardew is just a fraud and that under him there is no project. He's not a leader by any means (in the same way that Hughton wasn't), and it looks like his football isn't up to scratch.
-
I think that's probably a bit dramatic. We'd see transfers, but not the whole damn squad. who do you think would stay Gouffran and possibly Anita and Marveaux

Somehow I feel a tiny bit more optimistic with the likes of yourself, Neil, Leffe and Wacko around. Pray for us jotenko man. Pray for us. Of course. If we survive the drop, and you prove to be a sexy minx of a lucky charm, I pledge to donate 30 Euros to the SLB forum you came from They'll just spend it on softcore gay porn. All the better. More fun for you no? No time for jokes now, it's time to get together and try to save NUFC from relegation, and myself pray to win EL and Portuguese League. Aye right.

Fucking hell all this panic is making me.....panic :'( Can we not bloody man up and cling to the hope that we, as a club, will pull something out of the bag to save ourselves? With Turdew still in charge, the ONLY positive in our current situation is that our fate is in our own hands, and we don't mathematically have to count on others to fuck up. I'd take survival and the shitehawk manager in charge until christmas than going down. What a desperate situation. Fkn Ashley man

Lambert going back to Carrow Road for the first time?

I would like to think they're having a team meeting today where nothing is off the table - get them to tell him exactly why they're so p*ssed off. Ask the senior players what team/formation they would select and agree to give it a try. Anything really, just whatever it is he's been doing lately, f***ing stop it! I agree wholeheartedly. I just hope he's not too stubborn to do this. Something drastic needs be done.
