Please, dont even entertain the thought....
  2. Already? Jeez! C'mon you Hatters!
  3. True, but he doesnt dive like someone like Lampard does. He milks the foul a wee bit but he's not that bad really.... But well said Tooj. They were disgraceful yesterday, Lampard and Ashley Cole in particular. Its such a shame that with the quality of players they have they still resort to cheating....its very sad, imo. The last player we had that was a bit of a play-actor was Emre. He was a bit dirty and short tempered but yet, he wasn't as bad as some of these top 4 players. OK, we may not have won things like the top 4 sides in our time up there, but at least we battled and played with dignity. Another factor for our lack of cheating and pussyness imo is due to the fact that we've always had a strong core of British and English players. The main culprits: Chelsea- Lampard, A.Cole, J.Cole, Malouda, Ballack and worst of all, Drogba. Arsenal- Sagna, Almunia, Van Pirsie and Eboue (being the worst). Liverpool- Gerrard, Mascherano, Arbeloa. Gerrard the worst. Man Utd- Ronaldo, Nani and Anderson. Did I miss out anyone?
  4. My god, could you imagine a defence of Beye, Woodgate, Bassong, Bernard! The only players that would get into or near the first team we had back then would be Beye, Bassong and Owen. Guthrie and Martins at a push... I'd have Solano (at his peak) over Jonas any day tbh. And Robert pisses all over Duff. Yet more wise words from Sir Bobby, great read.
  5. Not a chance we would, imo. The club would still charge ridiculous prices which would rule out any chance of it happening. I reckon we could pull in around 40,000 for some games, though.

    Ryan Taylor/Nolan

Thankfully, I dont think the players read these forums. As long as the fans dont get on the players backs at the matches, then there's no problem with voicing your displeasure on an internet forum...
  7. Sunderland lose to Man Utd.....no, wait, they get fucking humped!! And we draw against Stoke- what do people think this will mean for us? I think it'll mean that the Spurs and Pompey games will determine our season.
  8. That's why we wont get him. Sven wont give any shit to Ashley, and Ashley wouldnt take any shit from Sven....would end up in another disaster, imo. How much did Sven spend at City, anyone know?
  9. Thats the problem though - I think that if Shearer walks away after the 8 games, then it'll either be or that gets the job. I dont think Kinnear will get the job. His heart just aint up for it, he'd be an idiot going against family and medical advice and taking the job. If Shearer does leave we'll end up with some shitty second rate manager, you can guarantee that. Does anyone think that Shearer is just saying this due to: A) He doesnt want to say anything incase we go down and B) This contract with the BBC might be interfering with things. i.e he doesnt want to say he'll be leaving as it will be a breach of contract?
  10. Dunno, he said he will be back on MOTD but plenty of managers do both. It is pointless listening to Llambias and even Shearer right now, that c*** Llambias said last week that a new manager would definitely NOT be coming in and here we are, also it is easy for Shearer to say he wont stay on, but if he keeps us up and gets offered the job, i think he will find it extremely tough to walk away. I wouldnt pay any attention to anything being say now tbh. I hope your right...
  11. Gary Lineker just asked Shearer if he'll be returning to match of the day next year: Lineker: "So Alan, will we be seeing you again on the sofa?" Shearer: "Oh yes, I'll be back, dont worry" Lineker: "So come what may you'll be back then?" Shearer: "Yes, definitely, come what may I'll be back. So save my seat..."

    Jonas Gutierrez

In the past 5 games or so Jonas has played, I wonder how many crosses the lad has put in the box? Nowhere near enough would be my answer.
  13. Aye, he looked fairly distressed. Get well soon Loven! xxx
  14. Everyone is shitting themselves until we go 1 up, you can feel the tension. The Arsenal game proves 17:30 kick offs are better for atmosphere as more people turn up jolly after a few beers. Yeah, there seemed a cracking atmosphere in the Arsenal game. Shame today couldn't match it.
  15. I actually agree with that. I love Oba but I'm getting increasingly frustrated with his inconsistency. The lads got a fantastic pair of springs in his legs, blistering pace, two good feet, a thunderbolt of a shot and a good header. So, those said ingredients are a fantastic combination to have a top class striker- but the more I see Martins play, the less I think he is, or will be a top class striker. Like, how many times have we seen Oba use his pace to get in behind defenders and set himself through on goal? Not near enough. Some might argue that we dont give him good enough service but I'd disagree. If he had a real football brain then he'd do this more often and he'd be unstoppable! Now, he can come up with those moments of glory when your least expecting it and win you the game but those moments are few and far between. I'm not going to go into a big fuck off rant about the lad now, I'll do that some other time, but I do agree with David Icke.
  16. If we lose this, i looks like it will be between us and the makems for the final slot. Whatever the result, I think thats the case. Sunland are shit, like.
  17. I feel like jumping off the roof of my house right now.
  18. But then you re-entered reality when the game kicked off. Yeah, the atmosphere sounded shite. Even when the teams were about to kick off it was fairly shit.
