Sunderland lose to Man Utd.....no, wait, they get fucking humped!! And we draw against Stoke- what do people think this will mean for us? I think it'll mean that the Spurs and Pompey games will determine our season.
-
That's why we wont get him. Sven wont give any shit to Ashley, and Ashley wouldnt take any shit from Sven....would end up in another disaster, imo. How much did Sven spend at City, anyone know?
-
Thats the problem though - I think that if Shearer walks away after the 8 games, then it'll either be or that gets the job. I dont think Kinnear will get the job. His heart just aint up for it, he'd be an idiot going against family and medical advice and taking the job. If Shearer does leave we'll end up with some shitty second rate manager, you can guarantee that. Does anyone think that Shearer is just saying this due to: A) He doesnt want to say anything incase we go down and B) This contract with the BBC might be interfering with things. i.e he doesnt want to say he'll be leaving as it will be a breach of contract?
-
Agreed.
-
Yeah, I guess you could say that. Fucking huge.

Dunno, he said he will be back on MOTD but plenty of managers do both. It is pointless listening to Llambias and even Shearer right now, that c*** Llambias said last week that a new manager would definitely NOT be coming in and here we are, also it is easy for Shearer to say he wont stay on, but if he keeps us up and gets offered the job, i think he will find it extremely tough to walk away. I wouldnt pay any attention to anything being say now tbh. I hope your right...

Gary Lineker just asked Shearer if he'll be returning to match of the day next year: Lineker: "So Alan, will we be seeing you again on the sofa?" Shearer: "Oh yes, I'll be back, dont worry" Lineker: "So come what may you'll be back then?" Shearer: "Yes, definitely, come what may I'll be back. So save my seat..."

In the past 5 games or so Jonas has played, I wonder how many crosses the lad has put in the box? Nowhere near enough would be my answer.

Aye, he looked fairly distressed. Get well soon Loven! xxx

Everyone is shitting themselves until we go 1 up, you can feel the tension. The Arsenal game proves 17:30 kick offs are better for atmosphere as more people turn up jolly after a few beers. Yeah, there seemed a cracking atmosphere in the Arsenal game. Shame today couldn't match it.

I actually agree with that. I love Oba but I'm getting increasingly frustrated with his inconsistency. The lads got a fantastic pair of springs in his legs, blistering pace, two good feet, a thunderbolt of a shot and a good header. So, those said ingredients are a fantastic combination to have a top class striker- but the more I see Martins play, the less I think he is, or will be a top class striker. Like, how many times have we seen Oba use his pace to get in behind defenders and set himself through on goal? Not near enough. Some might argue that we dont give him good enough service but I'd disagree. If he had a real football brain then he'd do this more often and he'd be unstoppable! Now, he can come up with those moments of glory when your least expecting it and win you the game but those moments are few and far between. I'm not going to go into a big fuck off rant about the lad now, I'll do that some other time, but I do agree with David Icke.

If we lose this, i looks like it will be between us and the makems for the final slot. Whatever the result, I think thats the case. Sunland are shit, like.
-
I feel like jumping off the roof of my house right now.
-
But then you re-entered reality when the game kicked off. Yeah, the atmosphere sounded shite. Even when the teams were about to kick off it was fairly shit.
-
but relegation COULD be a good thing innit!! steve gibson is losing more and more of his "great chairman" reputation by the game. they could be massively f***ed if they get relegated. Relegation would be good for Southampton. It would allow them to clean themselves inside and out - they didn't do it when they dropped from the Prem, but will get new ownership pretty soon who should be able to restructure the whole club. Still sad to see such a big team drop though. Who would have thought that Charlton and Southampton would be 2 of the 3 teams going down, at the beginning of the season. Agreed, although I'd rather see Charlton go down that the Saints. Yes, Liverpool playing well.......lets hope they lose, and lose bad.

I'm staying on a 6. Lose against Stoke and it'll be up to a 8 or 9
-
He's played every single game for us this season, I think its taking its toll on him but more mentally than physically.
-
I think we'll look a whole lot better next week with Bassong and Taylor back. Imo, we should go for: ----------------Harper------------- --Beye---Taylor---Bassong---Enrique-- ----Jonas---Guthrie---Butt---Duff--- ----------Owen-------Carroll---------
-
We look OK. I think everyone expected us to come out like a house on fire, hence why the atmosphere has gone flat. They just cant seem to keep the ball and its infuriating. Just simple little passes we're letting go astray which is stop us gaining momentum, although we are closing down Chelsea quite well when the get near our half. Ryan Taylor is awful, absolutely awful. His corners and free kicks are just shit. I still think there's something in this for us but we cant let Chelsea score first.

mackems losing 1-0

I'm not sure that's the case, to be honest. In his last few seasons, I recall him being pulled up probably ten to twenty times a game for backing in, whether he was or wasn't (admittedly, he probably was). Maybe slightly exaggerated but I never felt he got away with a lot compared to other players. Ask Uriah Rennie whether the sun shone out of Shearer's arse. Agreed. So far today, whenever the cameras been on him he's been having a laugh with the 4th official. Whats gannin on Alan?
