Pardew's ideal team would be one full of Shaun Derry's, Alan Smith's, Michael Brown's and Richard Dunne's. Throw a Carlton Cole and Shola Ameobi or two in there and its a wet dream.
-
If signing Carroll (for an acceptable price i.e. below £10m) meant that he was a replacement for this lumbering amateur then I would be all for that.
-
I believe that before today, there were far too many people content with Pardew, hanging onto this '5th place' bullshit to actually bother getting riled up about it or take their blinkers off. Now though, I think its a different story and a loss next week and a pasting against Liverpool (probably likely) will see things turn very nasty. He must be sacked off today alone, there's no way an NUFC manager- especially one in his position- can survive a result like that. Its disgusting to even contemplate, let alone suffer from. If he loses his next two matches, what gives him the right to stay in his job? Nothing. But we're a circus and Ashley won't do shit about it.
-
We played direct under Hughton, but we used Carroll to our advantage via a potent passer/set piece taker of the ball in Barton and an excellent poacher in Nolan. That was OK, I didn't mind that simply because it was effective and was on a different planet to what we put up with now.

Fuck this shit, I cant believe this has happened. Cant handle this, like.

5-1?ancient history sunna, 9-1, that's what you need to remember. . Held up my hands at their lot displaying a '5-1' figure. One lad, very overweight and red faced, bellowed "Ferk off man, 9-1 ya mag cunt" It was funny at the time. And aye, am propa hard.

What does that even mean? You said we have many Internationals Mick. Or is this people in glass houses now.... In fairness, I haven't a clue what your post is supposed to mean.

Remember in his first summer in charge this muppet was banging on about 'controlling the midfield', signing certain players to 'play on the break' away from home. Oh, and my favourite, a 'passing game'. What a fraud

I will take this result if it has a 'Gullit' effect (sack). Pipe dream.

Agreed here. Players need to take some blame too. Cabaye is nowhere near as good as what some people make him to be. Harsh, Cabaye hasn't been good of late, but Cabaye is one of our best players man. He runs his socks off and is very precise in his passing game. He's one of the few creative outlets. Unfortunately he's sitting deep and apparently carrying a knock. I'd rest him, he hasn't had a rest since he left Lille with the Euro last year and all. He doesn't stay in position man. Runs around like a headless chicken and commits some pathetic fouls. Well that's because he's not a defensive midfielder! What do you expect from an attacking playmaker being asked to screen his defence? This. Maybe if we played to our attacking players strengths this sort of thing wouldn't fucking happen. And Cabaye is pure class at what he does, man.
-
He has an interesting habit of ruining players. From what I remember, Tiote was class for us under Hughton. He was a revelation in our midfield and was a real destroyer who wasn't bad at distributing the ball. Then there's Cabaye who has become progressively worse under his leadership as he finds himself standing on our CB's toes he's pushed back so deep, instead of playing forward and unlocking defences; see his Euro 2012 performances in AM. Then there's Cisse. Magnificent last season, unstoppable. Now Pardew seems to have got a hold of him he isn't half the player this season, mainly due to playing right wing for half the season. Right wing? Right fucking wing. He cant get the best out of Sissoko, either. Moussa look immense in his first couple of games for us playing off Cisse. Now he looks lost, all his qualities being contradicted as he's deployed DCM or RM. Even Anita, who I rate very highly, has been completely wasted. He's perfect for a team who wants to get the ball down and play out from the back. A very tidy player indeed, yet half the time this season he's come off the bench to play behind the striker (well, that's what it looked like). Christ, Williamson was never this bad under Hughton when we were promoted (I am in no way saying I ever rated him). And I'm sure everyone remembers that ridiculous saga we had last year with Pardew constantly preferring Obertan to Ben Arfa. In fact, even Ryan Taylor used to get ahead of Hatem. He is a monstrosity of a manager. Today is the last straw.

See, this is what really gets me. Its never the people who actually care about the result who behave pathetically, its these arsehole little kids who just want to try and act hard. You get the odd few adults in there but the less said about them as humans the better. They always far outnumber the police, so why not actually go for them? Or properly go for the mackems when you have the chance? When they're goading the scum and giving it large, a break in the corden should be a gift for them to go and get stuck in. But no, wearing Stone Island is enough for one derby day. I'm not in any way condoning violence, but at least have they excuse of passion and frustration spilling over- not spotty teens who don't care about the result. And on a side note, their fans are definitely worse than ours. Horrible scumbags the lot of them, a really ugly bunch, too. I hope they stay up for one more year just so we can properly spank them home and away to put them back in their place, and then cast them into Football League oblivion.

Dreading waking up tomorrow. Think it will only sink in properly then.

PDC will be a hero forever with that shower, his name is down in mackem folklore now. They get their one day in the sun very seldom, and they cling on to it for dear life. As people have said, they'll milk this to eternity and you cant really blame them. They completely humiliated us today. We've had our fair share against them down the years, though. 2-0's, 1-0, 4-1, 3-2, 5-1, Ryan Taylor etc. Every 3-legged, rabies-infested mackem dog has its day.
-
I actually cannot stand these pathetic attempts to cling on to Pardew from folk. "Oh, but we finished 5th, give him until next Christmas at least", or, "Yeah but, no but...um, all managers need time, just let him turn it around and prove himself!" Bollocks. We're fucked with him in charge- if the whole of this season (and most of last) didn't reveal that then hopefully today fucking did. Face it.
-
Our phases of transition are possibly the worst I've ever seen from a team at this level. I've said it for ages now, but it cripples us completely. Its all down to a complete lack of ambition, nous and organisation.
-
Aye, Chris_R. Spot on, that. That just makes you realise the utter shit that we have to put up with.
-
Why did Pardew have to switch Ben Arfa form left to right wing when he came on? He looked menacing up against Jack Colback, so far out of his depth against Hatem, yet we put him up against one of their strongest points in Danny Rose who, in fairness to him, didn't really put a foot wrong all game for them. Clueless. Also, the absolute state of those cretins. Got a glimpse of their ugly mugs when they were getting escorted. What a horrible bunch of cunts spitting at people like that and wrecking some blokes program stall. They have absolutely no class at all.
-
It's hard to do that though when he's stuck out on the wing and shunned away from the centre of attention. If we were tactically discipline and organised, had two solid holding midfielder's with quality passing skills (Cabaye, for now) I would play Marveaux in the centre to play behind the striker and do what Sessegnon did today- drift, drop into space between the lines.
-
I looked at Pardew a few times and saw nothing from him, nothing. I honestly think our domination of Sunderland is over. Well, if they go down then I don't think so. I don't think it is, though. It would have been easier to think that after we got relegated, but any 'domination' they had certainly didn't last long. I hope they stay up so we can get them back for this next season. There's no way I want them to go down with this 'hit and run'. We're the bigger, better club and we need to show them that. Their first win at SJP in 13 years? Let them have their day. They'll always be in our shadow.

Class player. Would actually flourish under a manager who isn't a negative prick.

Forget about Thursday night, fuck off if any one sees that as an excuse. He put out a poor team selection that night with today in mind, and now look what's happened! The fucking cunt. Think about how many clear cut chances we had (bar the wrongly offside goal)? A team with Yang-Mbiwa, Debuchy, Cabaye, Marveaux, Sissoko, Cisse and for parts Hatem Ben Arfa, and we can barely make them work for it at our place. Sick. Absolutely sick.
