  1. Their goals were shit (from our point of view). - Sessegnons; why was he shown inside onto his stronger foot and not pressed hard? It was a gift and you could see it coming a mile off. - Johnsons; a good strike but what fucking moron showed him inside onto his stronger foot? He's nothing down the line on his right. - Vaughan; again, so much time and space to pick that out. By that stage we were not interested.

And their fans at the end singing, "We're having a party, when Stevie Taylor dies". Classy. Hope their trains crash.

Sessegnon was very good. He dropped in between the lines and we couldn't track him, he was also finding pockets of space (wasn't hard) and being direct, running at our fragile defence. Graham was decent, he held the ball up well and put himself about. Shame he's a little traitor cunt. Other than those two they were just well organised, actually wanted to win the fucking game and executed their game plan. I'm still sure they wouldn't have won if we had a good manager. But that hasn't been the case for a while now. They deserved it.

    Alan Pardew

I hate Redknapp but I would have him here any fucking day as opposed to this Sunday league piece of shit. Unforgivable today. I would sack him on today alone. No fight, no spirit, no energy, no passion, no ideas, no organisation. No fucking clue.

Fuck off and don't ever darken St.James' Park again you disgrace of a man. What a fucking coward. I will never forget this.
  6. Last years home leg, 1-1, was the first I've ever experienced. Although the atmosphere was great, I think our turgid performance in the first half really knocked the wind out of everyone. We need to have the place absolutely fucking bouncing from start to finish no matter what tomorrow. No mercy.
  7. The nerves are getting going now, by tomorrow morning I'll be bloody sick! Still, it is the most chilled out I think I've ever been before a derby As people have said, make it absolute hell for them. Just watched the whole of the 5-1 on DVD, that is what you call an atmosphere, there's nowhere else like it in this country- any team would shit themselves. Lets send these horrible, fascist cunts into the Championship!

    I love this thread
  9. Nerves really starting to kick in now I hope we batter those horrible cunts so much.
  10. I would have said Benfica before last night, but I wouldn't have compromised our team selection like Pardew did- don't let the thought of the mackems interfere with one of our biggest European nights in years. Considering how last night went, there's absolutely no excuses not to pummel the mackems on Sunday. Realistically, its the only game left to play for in our season- win it and we're pretty much home and dry safety wise, and we win the derby. Sorted. No excuses.
  11. Not even close. The same match last season was mind-numbing. Most, if not all, of our games are absolutely awful. We play with italian pace and championship quality. Utterly minging. Obviously you don't watch Italian football very often then. My thoughts, too
  12. We're definitely going to lose this. Fulham will score and by the time we get our act together it will be 85 minutes too late. Also, why do we only ever attack with 2 (at max 3) players at a time? We really are so poor.
  13. I can see this being painfully predictable; we'll have a horror start (provoking a 'hangover from Benfica game' excuse), go 0-1 down to an awful defensive mistake at around 60-70mins, finally get going(ish) and pinch an equaliser. Making sure we keep ourselves sucked in down the bottom and, as already stated, make the thought of the derby unbearable. PM me if you're in need of a positive boost
  14. The PL is shit and overrated, but to say Benfica wouldn't finish in the top half? They are a good attacking side who pass and move well and have a clinical goalscorer in Oscar Cardozo. I don't watch them often, but they played a high line against us, which makes sense considering Cisse's awful offside trait and the fact that we struggle to keep the ball under pressure, often resorting to hoofing it/losing possession. However, it was obvious at times that they didn't have the pace to execute such a high line with their slow defenders. Despite that we should be disappointed with the manner of the loss, it was ours to lose and that we did.
  15. Our own undoing tonight. Another European capitulation. We're still not out of it but we're not dealing with teams like Anzi or Metalist any more, Benfica are clinical and the fans and team are going to have to be at their best to get through next week.
  16. Story of this team. We just cant seem to sustain positive pressure and possession. We always seem to fade. Very good scoreline so far, think we can catch them off guard again for sure!
  17. As poor as some people think Anita's been I would still have slotted himself or Perch in at RB instead of Simpson. Players like him will get found out in these games. Anyway, that team is definitely good enough to get something out of this! Really looking forward to this now!
  18. Nerves are jangling a bit now, but I'm really looking forward to this. Tonight could set us up for an unforgettable night next week! Howay The Lads!
  19. Would be mint if that Wonga sponsor was just basic plain, white writing. I know its just a mock up though.

Bar Reading, they probably have the worst form in the league. I think they'll survive but they've got some very tough games coming up- all it takes is a couple of losses and those around you to win it and the pressure is cranked up a few notches. Most of their games are against some of the top sides or sides in and around them, and then there's the derby. Reading may have the new manager effect and pick up a few wins, that could make things interesting. Cattermole is influential for them, he'll be a miss. Fletcher is pretty much their only source of goals and that's before taking into account they're not prolific scorers anyway. I wouldn't rule out relegation for them. I hope they go down and rot.
  22. They got rid of our flag because of a 'fire hazard'? Considering it never caught fire and there's strictly no smoking inside the ground, that makes no sense at all. Honestly, football in this country is such a joke. You would get life in jail if you did what was in some of those videos. On a side note, the noise, passion, colour and energy and just general chaos of the Argentine fans is just amazing. I've felt the passion of football in Argentina first hand, but never have I been to a game. I'd love to go to Boca at La Bombonera or, after seeing those Racing fans, visit the Estadio Juan Domingo Peron! That's what football is all about.
