  1. Didn't someone on here say that Pardew is supposedly a big fan of Mourinho and has his books etc in his office? If that's true you'd think he's only flicked through to have a look at the pictures! Jose's teams are all about successful and aggressive transitions from defence to attack (and visa versa) and are incredibly organised. We couldn't look further from any that, we're a joke. Agreed with the opening post, btw. It's clear our manager is petrified of losing and in general hasn't a clue how to set up a team to attack.
  2. Must must must must win. A draw will feel like a loss whatever the case. Think I'm going to be watching this through my hands, swearing constantly.
  3. Yes, it is good that we finally kept a clean sheet and stopped losing, as well as having Cabaye and a proper right back for the first team in about 3 years. However, you just know Pardew will be glorifying that point and bang on about 'being away from home' and 'keeping a clean sheet' and somehow call it a marvellous performance. That was absolutely shocking to watch, we tested them about twice all game I think. With all teams (bar Villa) picking up points around us that was a thoroughly pointless point. We could have easily won that if we had a manager with a pair of balls. My god I fucking hate that man, fuck off Pardew you spineless cunt.
  4. No we don't, we have Cabaye, Marveaux, Anita and Ben Arfa (when fit). We just need a new manager who will accommodate these gifted players and get us playing and moving.
  5. Not confident at all, think we'll get beaten heavily- Norwich away is just one of those games you know it's not going to happen. A draw would be a good result, just to finally stop the rot and at last get some point(s) on the board. Massive game.
  6. If it is something as serious as this then there's nothing any one can do. As mad and passionate about football as I, like everyone on here is, it does highlight that some things are more important. My best wishes to Mrs Coloccini, and for a speedy recovery. And as Tooj said, lets hope/expect that our travelling support will give him a great reception tomorrow. I cant imagine I'll see a better defender than him in my time watching NUFC. Such a natural.
  7. Relegation is going to be very painful this year.

    St James' Park

I cant wait to see our training gear- Sports Direct and Wonga plastered over it.

Whoops. Meant '13'. Should really use my calculator for these things...

His post match comments from yesterday are absolutely disgraceful. After reading them on .com he's completely shown himself up as an utter coward who has no faith in the current available players and looks to hide from the truth of his own incapabilities by coming out with rubbish saying he hasn't had a fair crack this season with the players available. He is such a coward of a man. Obviously a large chunk of the responsibility for this mess must be laid on those above him, but the way Pardew has disgraced us on the pitch this season is unforgivable. Our last 12 league and cup games have resulted in 11 losses and 2 wins- there is obviously something seriously wrong here, much more than a couple of injuries here and there. Sheer incompetence from the management staff would be my guess.

He's never going to resign, he's too less of a man do that- like Souness, like Allardyce. This is beyond repair, we just cant go on like this and the NUFC board need to act before its too late.

Get the fuck out of our club you cunt.

I don't see how this is any better than the Souness days.

    Fuck off, Alan. Good lad.
  15. This is going to be a very long day. We look about two divisions below this lot.

There's a great deal of complex thinking and preparation that goes into a match of professional football. Go read a book or something. Have you played? You can tell me to read all the books you like, pouring too much thought into other teams and their tactics and worrying about what they are going to do is not a good thing imo. Don't get me wrong, preparation is key. Vital in fact, but it has to be preparation to play to YOUR strengths. This is what I mean, it's a simple game it really is, don't spend days worrying about opposition. I agree. I think you've got to know the opposition, know how to exploit them and how to stifle them but do it in a positive, constructive manner which focuses on your own teams strengths.
  17. At the risk of sounding like Pardew, he suffered from poor cover by Obertan. He was caught switched off with Anichebe for the second goal. I think he's been brilliant for us this season and I really like the guy, he had a poor game but no one really came out with much credibility last night. He could be such a weapon going forward but we all know the story with that.

He's really made himself look like an idiot after going on about practising that formation in training the whole week. If that's us 'prepared' or 'organized', whatever the hell he wants to call it, then he clearly isn't good at his job. Without Cabaye, Ben Arfa and now Ba gone indefinitely, he doesn't have the lads to bail him out any more from this long ball tactic of his. At the end of the day when this whole mess is over Pardew, Ashley, Dekka, all the players will go home as millionaires but once again it will be us who pays the price for everything- pouring hard earned money and endless time into the club and getting next to nothing in return.
  19. I think the stick people are giving Everton is quite harsh. We made them look good a lot of the time but they're well organised and affective in what they do- they can play direct or on the deck. We're certainly not in a position to criticise anyone.
  20. does that mean we can only fulfill our potential with some owner spending loadfs of their own money. doesn't every club have "that" potential ? Theoretically, yes, most clubs do have a big potential if they bump hundreds of millions into their squads- see Man City. I'm not asking Ashley to spend on that ridiculous scale, I think that with our network for scouting we should be capable of investing well and seeing a lot of positive results- last season was a taste of where it can get us! Look at our bench tonight- despite our injuries it was just embarrassing. No club our size should have to play Mike Williamson and Danny Simpson for 20 games in a season.
  21. Once again our transition from defence to attack was totally inept. This is something that needs immediate attention. We have a fantastic array of personnel to hit teams on the break when they're out of position; Santon, Marveaux, Cisse, Anita, Obertan, and that's not including Ben Arfa and Cabaye. Everton were a good example of how a team should play quickly and move up the pitch fast, switch the play, play wide and attack space.
  22. This isn't a knee-jerk, but with the club plateauing (imo) under Ashley, and unlikely to sell up any time soon due to his stubborn negotiating and a lack of buyers in the market, do people think that if we were to get relegated again (still a big 'if') then Ashley would actively look to sell up and take a loss? I think the chances would certainly be increased, with a serious backlash and probable desertion from fans. But unless there are buyers out there that are willing to invest, we're stuck with him. The saying 'be careful what you wish for' is very obvious with ownership, but I think it's obvious that this great club will never full fill its potential with this clown running it. It will always be Sports Direct interest before NUFC, and until that changes we're going in circles at best.
