  1. As a left footer I always go out to the left first after the keeper so my childhood Subbuteo teams all had No2 at LB.
  2. Got crushed in the Gallowgate v Sheff Wed, must have been a couple of years before Hillsborough. Absolutely packed, squashed against concrete barrier, could hardly breathe. Very scary, managed to push myself to safety at half time and got off the terrace. Standing wasn’t always fun.
  3. He wouldn’t be anywhere near the top of my list for a relegation scrap. He’s been a great player but we need high energy, especially in midfield where we’ve lacked intensity. He’d need paired with a Tiote type figure and I don’t see where that player comes from. We are a target for all the big teams trying to offload their disastrous and profligate transfer business. This is a case in point.
  4. Signing Ramsey would be putting us on the Everton track rather than Man City track. Avoid at all costs.
  5. This is the reason we are going down, it doesn’t matter what improvements Howe may make individual errors are costing us goals every game. We’ve had 2 in the first 5 mins.
  6. This is awful, can’t string 2 passes together.
  7. Interesting discussion, it’s the location that’s hallowed for me not the current construction. I’d take a 60,000 modern ground that utilises innovative architectural planning to keep us at the same spot than a 75,000 super stadium on the outskirts of the city.
  8. First went in mid-80s when the old wooden West Stand was still there, stood in the Scoreboard mainly then moved over to the Leazes around the time of Ozzy's team and was in the Leazes for Keegan's return against Bristol City and for the Pompey game. As the ground's changed so much I've got no real attachment to the current iteration, happy for them to tear it down and start again. Hopefully we can stay on the same site or a short move to Leazes Park.
  9. The designs are great, the sizing is all over the place; it would help if they were designed for human beings.
  10. How many managers have learned the hard way about Darlow? He does a job but you ALWAYS play Dubs if he is fit.
  11. As someone who has sailed up the Tyne on a Royal Navy destroyer I respectfully beg to differ.
  12. Not much fun with a hangover, that's for sure.
  13. Beat Brentford and the likelihood is we’ll only be 2 points from safety and then it’s game on.
  14. If the richest club in the world can’t satisfy Howe’s backroom requirements it’s doubtful he’ll ever find another job.
  15. Slightly disappointed after the euphoria of the takeover but keen to see him take the reins and see what he can do. Also put £15 on at 20-1 so that will be a nice sweetener going into the weekend.
  16. Actually met Ashley outside the Emirates during the infamous pint-necking game against Arsenal which was Keegan’s last natch. He was moaning about how there’s no value in the transfer market. Knew straight away he was a wrong-un.
  17. There was 12 of us an we were making a lot of noise before the game so attracted quite a bit of attention.
  18. Seen Vasco in Rio. Locals thought we were English football hooligans and made us stand next to them. After the match they invited us to a punch up with some Flamengo fans. We made our excuses and left…..
  19. Actually you’re right, he was bought as a critical piece of the jigsaw which is the progressive and talented team that Ashley has been painstakingly assembling for several seasons.
