We have had many excellent foreign players at this club. But for me, none have bought into the club as much as Bruno. He came in when we where in a desperate situation and since then he have been a reflection of what the team/club was all about during the turn around. For me, he is already one of the most influential players we have had for 20 years (or even more). A warrior and a genuine nice bloke.

So depressing really. Our attacking play is so predictable and just no imagination.

One thing I was thinking during the PSV game was that Joelinton was pushed up very high to support Wissa. Was working quite well. We need to offer Nick the same. He always looks so isolated.

Kind of crazy how little unpredictable and creative Howe is like. Strong team and I understand the rationale by playing in his eyes the strongest team in this must win match at home.

Playing as a lone striker in this version of Newcastle got to be the hardest job in the world right now. Prime Messi would look hopeless. Its quite obvious our problem is in going forward, its just not functional, slow, cautious and too focused on creating triangles who only ends in a pass back to our cm or defenders, depending on where we started. I find it difficult to put the blame on a new striker in a new league. He is obviously highly talented, but by god we need to find out how to attack as a team. The problem is not Nick, it’s our midfield and wingers.

Something serious wrong with this team at the moment. i have absolutely no clue how to fix it, unfortunately it seems Howe haven’t either.

Inexcusable. we been quite shit for a long time now. Seems Howe have lost his way a bit. What’s our identity? I have no clue what we are trying to do. Combine that with a absolute disaster of a transfer window, it’s not looking great. Elanga, just lost for words really. I try to find positives in his game, but he is not making it easy for me.

We have no clue going forward. Just so shit, and its not this match in isolation, its a new normal.

When Bruno arrived we compared him to our existing midfielders. So a massive upgrade at the time. Now Ramsey are compared to Bruno/Tonali etc, so the bar is quite a lot higher. Agree Ramsey have not looked very good yet, but I will give him time.

Very happy with 3 points. But fuck me we made a meal out of it. We are so fuck so fucking toothless in front of goal and how many goal conceded after 90min now? Again, super happy with 3 points, but against 10 men Burnley it leaves more questions than answers from this team.

Indeed. Have no problem with it, and we are good. But we have a issue with scoring goals and creating chances against a low block. That concern is still there and increased.

Its a worry for me that we do not have a goal from open play against a 10 men Burnley.

It happens so often with this version of the team, it’s a problem. Again, you bring up 1 example with a team with the same issue. Who also are 3rd, not 14th.

What a fucking kick in the teeth. Bringing on Schar just confirmed we concede all momentum and initiative in the match. Poor from Howe. Overall we played good, but are lacking a poacher up front. I love Woltemade, but he is not a tap in striker. We are unable to ride out a 1 goal lead, we need to keep momentum.
