  1. Sorry, I was just that keen to point out Larsson's deficiencies I feel West Ham should be aware for when they play them.
  2. Larsson is terrible when he isn't able to do 1 of the 2 things he's good at - cross the ball, or shoot from free kicks.
  3. Poor defending, that. Class game, unexpectedly.
  4. In many ways Sunderland have just doubled their superiority.
  5. Rodriguez is only 2nd to Coleman for my bargain of the season IMO. No-brainer to have him in the team.
  6. They're going to regret missing these.
  7. Credit to Southampton here, they're all over them.
  8. Seriously man, keeping reading on here how they're surviving. They're fucking woeful, and I think are thought of as better by some of you guys as Newcastle fans think by default Sunderland won't make their dreams come true and get relegated. Yeah they'll pick up the odd win but they're in massive trouble.
  9. Unfancied name and I think people were confused by his transfer fee (£8m ish?). But the fact is his development is there for all to see.
  10. Think TRC's cowied off his tits.
  11. Printing money. Righto. Put a little bit on Johnson anytime @ 4/1.
  12. Think Holtby is a very handy player. I'd like him at Everton if we were interested. That said I think he could be an extremely good fit for you. Seems like you're crying out for someone to naturally link midfield and Remy. Cabaye, IMO, operates best deeper than where a conventional #10 plays.
  13. Tbh that looks a decent bet. Man, at least one of my bets best come through.
  14. Not really. Barry has been vital to us, granted, but he looks extremely likely to sign on a free in the summer. Deulofeu is quality but hasn't actually played much all season. Only a few starts before getting injured. McGeady is probably going to take that impact sub role. Lukaku will be hard to replace but he hasn't been carrying us like the media would have you believe. He's actually been pretty poor since the derby months ago. Traore will be a stop gap to sit on the bench until Martinez can get the striker/s he wants in the summer. Should have a sizeable kitty left from the sales in the summer & now Jelavic going. Yup, exactly agree as mentioned. And that last bit is the bit I inferred but didn't want to go into. Our money has a funny way of disappearing into oblivion.
  15. Well, that's your view. My view is even without the loan players we're progressing due to 2 main factors - the emergence of Barkley as the quality player most thought he was but never got the chance to show it (for various reasons), and Martinez, who has us playing far better football but moreover, has instilled a winning mentality in the team. No longer do we "look to go to Old Trafford and get out alive" or "bring a knife to a gun fight." Barry and Lukaku have obviously been 2 major additions for us but it's very simplistic to assume we'll suddenly be hopeless without them. Lukaku for example has been well off the boil for a couple of months now, while I think there's every chance we'll make Barry's loan permanent. Deulofeu, who I really like and think has a ridiculous amount of talent, hasn't played that much. The point is we're looking to add in this window, something we didn't last year and it bit us in the arse massively. In fact last January was arguably the most frustrating transfer window in all of Moyes' tenure. We were in a great position and did fuck all to push on. At least it looks like we're attempting to.
  16. Not really, if they elevate us into Europe. And especially not if they get us 4th. We fucked up royally last January not adding to our squad. I couldn't care how we do it, but it looks like we're going to this month. It's showing ambition even if we don't have the funds to just go out and buy quality players (though that's another story for another day).
  17. All opposition players will be both physically and mentally destroyed and will refuse to step foot on a pitch again. Everton declared champions forever.
