  1. Tbh that looks a decent bet. Man, at least one of my bets best come through.
  2. Not really. Barry has been vital to us, granted, but he looks extremely likely to sign on a free in the summer. Deulofeu is quality but hasn't actually played much all season. Only a few starts before getting injured. McGeady is probably going to take that impact sub role. Lukaku will be hard to replace but he hasn't been carrying us like the media would have you believe. He's actually been pretty poor since the derby months ago. Traore will be a stop gap to sit on the bench until Martinez can get the striker/s he wants in the summer. Should have a sizeable kitty left from the sales in the summer & now Jelavic going. Yup, exactly agree as mentioned. And that last bit is the bit I inferred but didn't want to go into. Our money has a funny way of disappearing into oblivion.
  3. Well, that's your view. My view is even without the loan players we're progressing due to 2 main factors - the emergence of Barkley as the quality player most thought he was but never got the chance to show it (for various reasons), and Martinez, who has us playing far better football but moreover, has instilled a winning mentality in the team. No longer do we "look to go to Old Trafford and get out alive" or "bring a knife to a gun fight." Barry and Lukaku have obviously been 2 major additions for us but it's very simplistic to assume we'll suddenly be hopeless without them. Lukaku for example has been well off the boil for a couple of months now, while I think there's every chance we'll make Barry's loan permanent. Deulofeu, who I really like and think has a ridiculous amount of talent, hasn't played that much. The point is we're looking to add in this window, something we didn't last year and it bit us in the arse massively. In fact last January was arguably the most frustrating transfer window in all of Moyes' tenure. We were in a great position and did fuck all to push on. At least it looks like we're attempting to.
  4. Not really, if they elevate us into Europe. And especially not if they get us 4th. We fucked up royally last January not adding to our squad. I couldn't care how we do it, but it looks like we're going to this month. It's showing ambition even if we don't have the funds to just go out and buy quality players (though that's another story for another day).
  5. All opposition players will be both physically and mentally destroyed and will refuse to step foot on a pitch again. Everton declared champions forever.
  6. Have Lukaku and Traore bulldoze the fuck out of every single opposition player for 4 months and we won't need one.
  7. Well then, it's settled. We'll be rich in under 24 hours.
  8. Added Man City -2/Liverpool -2 double to this. Last time I really focussed on 2 or 3 teams and was very confident, I lost £150. Just think the sheer regularity of which these teams are winning by 2 goals and more / the weakness of the opposition, it's worth getting on. Wouldn't be surprised to see a really solid performance out of the blue by 1 or 2 of the away teams, as that's just what happens sometimes. We'll see.
  9. All up in the air apparently. Something about whether his work permit is transferrable. Also, by all accounts he's currently injured.
  10. Having the pleasure of St Etienne vs. Lille currently, 4th v 3rd. Such poor quality for what should be a good game. It's in line with most French football I've watched beyond PSG and Monaco. Real lack of ambition and just a lack of quality all over the field. Poor pitch, I guess.
  11. Main stake on Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool to score over 1.5 @ 2.07 Also on Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool to score over 2.5 @ 6.67, and Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool all to win -1 @ 3.37 My eggs aren't all in one basket.... OK, they are.
  12. Think my attention is solely coming down to Arsenal, Man City and Liverpool. Unless something major comes up, going to focus on them. Considering trebles on over 1.5 team goals, over 2.5 team goals, -1. I think Man City and Liverpool could easily win 4-0/5-0 if they turn up. Arsenal I'm not as positive about as, justified or not, I think they might be more along the 2-0 lines, but with potential for more if they get into Fulham. So basically what I'm saying is I'm guaranteeing some heroic away team performances tomorrow.
  13. Bad News Neesy. "Your computer is infected with several Trojans."

    Sunderland

One win for them and they're apparently staying up comfortably. You lot. They're shite and will be in the thick of it come May.
  15. So Dave, whether serious or not, got me paranoid. Couple of funny things have been happening on my laptop recently, nothing obvious but enough to warrant a Malwarebytes full scan. Guess what comes up. Cheers Dave.
  16. Not usually one for backing big teams on the h'cap but with the sheer regularity the likes of Man City and Liverpool are comfortably winning at home, it's hard to ignore. Arsenal/Man City/Liverpool all -1 is about 12/5 on Skybet. Unsure if it's better elsewhere, hard to compare h'cap odds on Oddschecker. Also going for Chelsea I reckon.

    The England Thread

It was alarmingly obvious, but such simple foresight was (unsurprisingly) beyond our mob.
  18. Slightly more spacing on forum titles? Blue highlight around this text box I'm typing in? Fucking scandalous.
  19. Something's changed. I'm unsure what. This is a mystery.
  20. City -2 gang. Still think Milner @ 9/2 was cracking value, mind.
  21. Milner 9/2 anytime represents a very decent value bet IMO.
  22. Very well, really. Would estimate I'm about £300 up overall, without including about £100 worth of currently open ante-post bets I have on from winnings this season. Much will depend on my Bale bet of 15 league goals, which is my big bet for the season (made pre-season so not using this season's winnings). Currently as it stands it would have been a solid season's betting, Bale does the business and I've had a very good year. Something I'm learning to do recently is to make real use of the fact I've got accounts with most bookies, and withdrawing winnings immediately. It means a) I'll get the best odds available and b) by withdrawing my winnings immediately - even if I'm thinking of a bet the following day - it'll stop me leaving a daft 10/15 quid in my account and as a 'treat' for winning, putting it on some silly accumulator which hasn't been thought through and invariably loses. It's definitely nice to play with winnings as it wasn't originally 'your' money but I'd definitely recommend withdrawing the money first before then going onto your next bet.
