  1. Already down to 9/4 best price. These long-term bets are going pretty well for me. Should probably heed the lesson. In less good news, Callejon (have him to score anytime) just had a great goal wrongly disallowed.
  2. I feel dirty for having Suarez captain but yeah there's absolutely no way he can't be in my team. High hopes for a big score. 46 with 7 to play, Toure and Suarez scooping 42.
  3. 40 euros on that. Congrats on recent wins David but you are still bonkers. Boylesports have an interesting offer on - if your FGS bet wins inside the first 20 mins, they'll double the odds. Wouldn't normally go near that offer but Suarez in his current form at home to Cardiff... it's mighty tempting. Admittedly they've probably reduced the basic odds for it but still.
  4. Liverpool 3-1 Cardiff Crystal Palace 1-2 Newcastle Fulham 1-3 Man City Man Utd 2-0 West Ham Stoke 1-0 Aston Villa Sunderland 2-1 Norwich West Brom 1-1 Hull Southampton 1-1 Tottenham Swansea 2-2 Everton Arsenal 1-2 Chelsea
  5. Yeah OCK, due to the likelihood of doing considerable damage (again) to my right knee if I play, I'm putting myself forward as Reds manager. My success of taking Billericay to the Premiership will no doubt command respect from the team. It might have been on FM but it's all the same, right? Still on the hunt for some unnecessary Pardew glasses.
  6. Still waiting on that mid-range bottle of wine.
  7. My mate started shortish prices around evens or 1/2 but as the winnings were becoming increasinlgy high he was getting more and more inclined to bet on 1/4's or 1/5's. That's where bottles comes into it. If you're willing to put £20 on, say, a 2/1 shot, then why not put £100 you've won on a similar 2/1 shot? I'm guilty of it, it's human nature to get protective of your winnings, when really we should be MORE liberal with them given it wasn't 'your' money previously. Need to keep betting money and your actual money separate IMO, if that makes sense.
  8. Good luck to anyone who's doing it but - and this is just my opinion - it's an awful way to bet. Look for actual value as if you keep betting on 1/2, 1/3 shots, you're going to get screwed over with shite odds. You might get incredibly lucky and avoid a surprise but you're asking for trouble. If I'm going to lose, much rather lose on a decent 4/1 shot for example which was wildly overpriced, instead of a generic home favourite who were horribly short. Keep betting on odds which are too long and you'll win long-term. But anyway, if you win loads of money then good on you. Guess it doesn't matter how in the end?
  9. I don't get these challenges. So people are trying to win several bets? Aren't we all?
  10. Been close but no cigar on a couple of correct scores recently so I'm especially pleased that came off. Just had a massive hunch for 2-2. Really like those Henderson odds. Currently, he's more likely not to be in the squad than to be there but I think he's in with a very decent chance and, barring a major injury, his chance is likely to increase. 7/2 is definitely way too long.
  11. Gone for 2-2 in Milan/Roma @ 15/1 Henderson is 7/2 to make the England WC squad. No, he's not great whatsoever but he's improving, starting regularly for Liverpool and no doubt impressed Hodgson yesterday. Think 7/2 is definitely too long, 7/4 would be a fairer price.
  12. I understand the decision, but think it's completely the wrong one. He's under-performing so far this season, as are a lot of his players. A couple of really bad days at the office doesn't mean you should sack your manager. Very little time given to players to settle and gel, very little time given to the manager. If you're intending on getting rid of the manager if you're a few points off where you should be after less than half the season, then don't give the green light to spending £100m on a wealth of new players in the summer.
  13. I dunno about anyone else but I'll be fucking writhing in sheer ecstasy when it happens, oh the fools who thought they wouldn't win. The fools! Going to be one of the greatest days of my life.
  14. No, but I hope Emma's having a great day.
  15. Naismith to feature more, hopefully. Big fan of his.
  16. Deulofeu out for a while. Feck.
  17. I still think AVB is a good manager, but the results are pretty damn condemning. I actually think a new manager would reap the benefit of their quality players as they'll have had more time to gel. Has the hallmarks of Levy pulling the trigger.
  18. We are but that doesn't qualify for Europe, i genuinely believe we are capable of that and think that is what we should be aiming for. Settling for just being OK and this result is fine but to finish top 6/7 you need to be winning games like this. Hopefully we win the next two games and end 2013 with 33 points, that would be a good return. Finishing high up is also about not losing games you could lose as well though. When you win 5 out of 6, the odd draw like yesterday against a team who you're competing with for one of those places just keeps things ticking over. True. Obviously any result other than a win in a home game against a team outside the very top places is seen as a big disappointment. Taken in isolation, a 1-1 draw at home to Southampton is disappointing (yes, they're a decent team but not much more than that IMO) but when combined with unexpected wins against the likes of Chelsea, Tottenham, it offsets it a bit. I expect you, like us, to be challenging the European spots but much will depend on who wins the domestic cups.
  19. I was one of those idiots who didn't captain Suarez. Tried to be a clever dick captaining Oscar. He played 29 minutes. Still, not going to say no to more Suarez points. The cunt.
  20. Villa are an odd team. I sort of want to think they're this progressive, young, talented side who will finish top 10 potentially with realistic aspirations for pushing for the top 6/7. Yet, they don't appear to be very good at all. Interested to hear brummie's take on it as they still seem very inconsistent. I know he mentioned time and time again last year the fans were behind Lambert even in the darkest days because they saw he was trying to build something, but at what point does patience wear thin?
  21. Few decent in-play wins this weekend, Sociedad in particular today. Leverkusen however shat all over what could've been a brilliant weekend. About £50 up overall, can't complain.
