Looked into it, that's just class value. Seriously expected it to be set more around the 17.5, 18.5 level. He scored 21 with Tottenham last season ffs. Now, he won't be the main man at Real Madrid, won't take as many free kicks and has missed the first 3 games. Even with those considerations, it's set too low. You're betting on Gareth Bale to score 15 goals in 35 games (even take a few off for being rested/injured - call it 30) for Real Madrid, where he's going to get considerably more chances. He's going to score 1 in 2 man.

Pretty nice 3rd kit IMO.

You know something's gone badly wrong if you're jealous of Everton in terms of transfers. Trust me, I well and truly know the feeling. As far as our dealings go, the one negative is Barry. I'm not going to change my mind on what I think of him just because he's now with us, just hope he can prove me wrong to some degree. McCarthy on the face of it we've overpaid for but I really do like the look of him. Arguably going to offer superior footballing ability in the middle than Fellaini, more energy and more of a link between midfield and attack. Wigan didn't want to sell, so we had to pay for that accordingly, which is fair enough. Lukaku simply looks like a beast, just hope he can continue his progress at us. Anichebe for £6m. That won't get old anytime soon. As for Fellaini, I don't begrudge him for one second wanting Champions League football. He deserves it, and he's made a big impact for us in recent years. That said, as I've rattled on for a while now, he has a disturbing lack of footballing ability when it matters in tight areas in the middle of the pitch and is generally overrated due to the fact he fits the "dominant match-winner" mould when really, there are many, many players in the country with more pure footballing ability than him, McCarthy included. Man Utd have had a shocker. Not only could they have got Fellaini for £4m less earlier in the summer, not only have they had a million bids rejected from across Europe, not only did they have fucking imposters try and secure a Herrera deal, not only have they paid just £500,000 less for only Fellaini than they bid for both Fellaini and Baines a few weeks ago, not only all of that - they don't even fucking need Fellaini. Sir Alex will be spinning in his expensive leather seat, if physics allow that.

Anichebe for £6m is something else.

Bale's La Liga goals has been set at 14.5 last time I checked, now get that printer working.

Very good day's business, and I include my utter disdain towards Gareth Barry in that assessment.

Bendtner off to Palace it seems.
-
Not at all, apparently. They want both it seems.

Spanish Gimp says Herrera to Man Utd is a goer for 36 million euros.

Wales and Swansea defender Ashley Williams on Twitter: "All this fuss about Gareth Bale reminds me of my transfer from Hednesford Town to Stockport County."
-
Before my birthday in February I'd bet. Hope he takes note, the ungrateful little shit.
-
I quite liked him. Knew he was at Valencia last I checked, can't say I've kept tabs on him.

Bid was £10m for McCarthy, if anyone was dying to know. Can get fucked.

Interested to get Brummie's take on this, but Benteke top scorer @ 12/1 looks class value to me. There are plenty of contenders, and obviously RVP is the favourite, but Benteke should be nearly half that price, no doubt about that IMO. Suarez I think will miss too many games, Giroud, Sturridge and Soldado are all very good players but not quite what I'd call top quality marksman, or "main men" the way Benteke is. I'd certainly take any of the aforementioned over RVP who is simply too short @ 5/2. I'm avoiding Aguero simply due to Man City having too accommodate so many players. ------------------------- Champions League Juve @ 20/1 Dortmund @ 25/1 lol wut - insane value. Not much to say here, far too long for each. Both should be more around 12/1. Definitely worth a tenner of anyone's money. ------------------------ CL Group A is interesting me a lot. Man Utd's group. Shakhtar, Leverkusen, Sociedad. Now, none of the other 3 teams are what you'd call top-class as such, but on their day I'd individually fancy them to beat Man Utd. Winner odds (best odds): Man Utd 5/6, Shakhtar 5/1, Leverkusen 6/1, Sociedad 7/1. Man Utd are rightly favourites but odds on while the 2nd favourites are 5/1? Absolutely taking on Man Utd in this group. Think as an ambitious group bet, Man Utd to finish 2nd would be a good shout, but moreover, the individual games will be fascinating to bet on. Moyes' lack of European experience is surely going to count for a lot. I don't expect them to have a catastrophe and not qualify but are they fuck worthy of being odds-on. Their home games in particular will be interesting. If the respective teams don't get stage fright, they're more than capable of getting results at Old Trafford. I'm expecting - and hoping - Man Utd to be too short in the home games. So, any thoughts? Err, do it?

Gonna be a long fucking day.

f***ing Geordies, why are they moaning? Got a load of new players in back in January and now they're whinging about not getting anyone in the summer. It's all relative, man. I can see why Arsenal fans are very p*ssed off with the transfer window. Sure it's all relative. We did like 3 years of not spending in one window Arsenal have been tight with their budgets for ages, ages man and yet still everyone expects them to go all Man City or Chelsea in one summer? The talk of their bank balances and such was so stupid as well tbf. The supporters kill me when they talk shit about AW too. "Ah he's lost it, not the same" etc. It's a bitch isn't it? I agree that reports of Arsenal's demise are premature and overblown. If however you strip away the usual media hyperbole, they clearly have a lot of money and they've invested not one penny. I can completely understand why Arsenal fans are pissed off with that. They're not investing while other teams ahead of them further pull away and teams behind them catch up. Sound familiar? I know it does with me, and I'd certainly be pissed off. They're completely entitled to say they don't want Wenger, just as much as the fans who love him are entitled to say that, and I find it amusing you, me, or anyone could sit here and say they're stupid for wanting Wenger out (or in, as it were). It always gets me, the whole "why are are club X's [insert generally quite successful club] supporters complaining? How dare they!" thing. They've got just as much right to have a go about things - when justified - as you or I do. I can't emphasise enough - it's all relative. They were champions not so long ago, and now they've not won a trophy in 8 years is it? 9? They've fallen way behind where they were and don't look like reversing that trend anytime soon. That, combined with not improving their squad despite clearly having the financial ability to do so must wind them up something rotten.
-
They play very slowly regardless though and I don't understand it. Maybe I'm a bit "biased" here, but trust me, I know what slow build-up play is like. I actually think their game is too much to do with pace and not enough to do with a bit more thought and nous.
