  1. The thing that stood out for me was that this was a real test of Barca. How many times have they been up against it in recent years? Hardly ever. Then to go 1-0 down straight away yet keep their focus (yes, bit of luck with the 2nd) but to come back and outplay Real for large parts was mightily impressive. In a game where the talk was about Real finally having the edge over Barca, the latter's mediocre away form, those myths - for the time being - were put to bed.
  2. Did the bloke have a bet on Madrid? Hugely impressed by Barca. I think plenty of people thought Real had the edge last night and when Valdes fucked up for the first time of numerous times last night, he was punished immediately and many would have thought Real would go on to win comfortably. But I guess writing off this Barcelona side was somewhat ludicrous in hindsight. Oh, and Messi - who wasn't even at his best IMO - was still immeasurably better than Ronaldo. Again. And there are still people out there (not so much on here) who will claim he's not. Staggering. Also, take a bow Iniesta. One of his finest games ever last night.
  3. So, where's your money for El Clasico? Messi and Ronaldo are both nearly 4/1 for first scorer. Tempting.
  4. That sounds incredible. Back to revision Fuck revision, get betting!
  5. Must say I wasn't particularly impressed with him today, but I'd expect him to improve the more he plays.
  6. For some reason I really think Real will get a penalty, probably for something that wasn't a penalty. Also reckon Valdes will drop a clanger tonight.
  7. Really looking forward to El Clasico. Going round a mate's place, few beers, fucking massive telly, sorted.
  8. So, so true. LiveScores.com is your friend for future reference. Think my phone's so shit it can't handle livescores.com.
  9. "We didn't mean to give them chances..." - Moyes.
  10. I used to like you, Ginola. You used to be cool. Then you went and started winning your bets, and now this. Unforgivable.
  11. BBC updates are torture. Refreshing the page every few minutes. Had to use them as the pub we were in weren't showing the Everton game - for some reason thought they were but never mind. Instead had a feast of fine Newcastle defending to lay my eyes upon.
  12. Obertan had a game like he did today and you single out Jonas. For fucks sake take off your rose tinted fucking glasses. Obertan may have had a poor game, but he still outshone Jonas by a country mile. Jonas provided no threat whatsoever. Hi there. I haven't got rose tinted glasses on. I can confirm you are so wrong, it actually hurts inside a little bit. Obertan was offensively bad, and a lot worse than Jonas. And yes, the pub wasn't showing the Arsenal game much to my annoyance. BBC updates are torture.
  13. Having little luck with De Gea at the moment. 2 or 3 times this season he's randomly not played and Man Utd kept a clean sheet, and then there's times like today when they can't keep a clean sheet vs Wolves, and he plays. Got Vorm on the bench, should really just stick him in.
  14. Oh dear Bolton btw, they're sinking at the moment.
  15. Absolutely superb finishes today.

    Dan Gosling

I was wrong. I said he wouldn't really do much for you, but there's no denying his impact today.
  17. FINALLY Rooney did something. 37 points with 7 to play.
  18. Nothing surprising. Your shite defence on paper played shite.
  19. Won £43 on Arsenal, MK Dons DNB and Swansea DNB. Obviously now thinking I should have done the straight wins but can't complain. Had some success with DNB recently.
  20. Aye, outside The Red Lion here in Darlo. Everyone wants some aggro.
  21. Martin Keown: "Losing Arteta was a good move for Everton." Aye, I knocked one out over it, Martin.
