  1. Tbf I don't know of any team in the world that are particularly great against teams that are good at putting men behind the ball.
  2. Rubin Kazan vs. Barcelona kicking off in 5 minutes for anyone interested.
  3. Since we won't be troubled by the League Cup anymore, I think I might well do exactly the same.
  4. Grr. Got 6/7 in the CL. Would have won me £194 off £2. Admittedly that one was very much off - Braga 0-3 Shakhtar.
  5. Bastards! Got exactly the same apart from Rotherham instead of Chelsea (the only ones winning there). Absolutely shite 1st half. P'boro got one back like. Scratch that. What a ridiculous fucking scoreline.

  7. Couldn't have really asked for a better first 2 games. 1-0 away win and 3-0 home win. Now, time to lose some money.
  8. Spartak apparently need "a bit of bravery and a bit of cheek to have a successful CL campaign." ....
  9. Is that Gary Birtles? No, wait, he's patronising me. It's Gary Birtles. 2-0.

    Sunderland...

Sunderland so far have been identical to last year. Good at home, put in performances against the better sides, shite away from home and completely reliant on Bent.
  11. I read some of their forums after the Everton-Newcastle match and that wasn't the impression I got tbh. Forums are probably the worst place to gauge fan opinion though. Particularly just after a home defeat where we were not only aiming for 3 points from, but were awful in as well. Similar to the weekend just gone on here, I'd suggest. There's not a lot of pressure, if any, on Moyes from fans. The media will no doubt try and create some but I repeat what I said earlier in the thread and also what 1878 has said: 0% chance of getting sacked, but I guess there's always a chance of him walking.
  12. First sign of SSN absence: only just remembered there were European games on this midweek. Although I can imagine it's been jam-packed with spiel about Rooney not playing.
  13. Fair question burnip. I recklessly haven't considered a bet:wage ratio here.
  14. Must have read it wrong then, Stu. But I'd want a very well paid job before I go gambling £750 in a day. Each to their own.
  15. Go on geordieboy91. Get a very well paid job immediately.
  16. Carroll surely is? He's only going to get better as well. Who should you have in charge instead? Of course people question the manager's tactics. That's what fans do and go to Man Utd, Arsenal, Barcelona, Accrington and Sunderland forums and you'll see it is exactly the same. With this game, where I and seemingly everyone else thought Hughton got it wrong, it is up to him to respond, and respond swiftly. Also, home results this season would indicate you've had 2 poor results, not that you "haven't improved at all". Would the team from 2 years ago have come to Goodison and outplay a top 6 aiming team for large parts, for example?
