  1. Simon Jordan probably, and that's good enough for Simon Jordan.
  2. Surely a bookable offence? I can't imagine the referee would be having that.
  3. Everton: GrandOldTeam - http://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/ Not great but ah well, I make do with it personally.
  4. http://usedbooksblog.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/dr-evil.JPG Attendance: One MILLION people!
  5. Well for this season, they're probably pissed off at how they went on such a good run and have imploded away from home now. And I don't think they'll fancy going into the playoffs with indifferent form. Also at one point they probably thought they'd be roughly level with you and could be irritated as to how easily you're breezing to the title. Not that the degree of bitterness/hate is justified, but the above will probably come into their thinking.
  6. Was he the youngster who was given a game in europe or another cup? I seem to remember him having a class game. He was given a few games around the middle of the season, perhaps most notably he was introduced when we were 2-0 down at home to Spurs with 20 minutes to go. He came on and ripped Gareth Bale a new one and we drew 2-2. Also came on against Carlisle when we were struggling, within a few minutes he created a goal for Cahill. Already got 4 assists for Blackpool in a few games on loan there I believe. Got a very big future, I think, but next year is a big year and he needs to be playing PL football.
  7. Get yourselves Seamus Coleman on loan, as I have a horrible feeling Moyes isn't going to give him much of a chance next year. Yes, he's developing Rodwell and Gosling brilliantly atm but Coleman.... RB.... Neville! He's undroppable, unfortunately. I'd love to be wrong.

    Sunderland...

As long as they have their current source of money, they'll be fine I imagine. They'll do well enough to stay above the bottom 3 but their lack of any progress given the net spend last summer is pretty embarrassing.

    Martin O'Neill

Fwiw, it'll probably need someone like brummie to tell us: what's the actual reason for the criticism? Yes, they may be in the minority but there'll be a reason for their comments.

From this, I can safely assume all Villa fans are deluded, fickle idiots. Definitely.
  12. Southampton predictably running away with it now. 3-0.

    La Liga 09/10

"Football is a social dildo" and "It brings a smile to my face knowing that my family and friends are all well. That, and watching Iniesta play." are highlights.
  14. thats what i've done. i very rarely have any doubles above 2.5. it seems like nothing when betting £5 but i bet an average of 10% my kitty per bet. anything more than a treble and the cash comes down whereas some singles i'll increase it. Cheers. Definite strategy change from me from today. Have to avoid my normal thought processes of "ok I want a treble... ah but they'll win too... and them" before I know it, I'm on a six fold and losing money (even today I went for a 4 when I intended a double). Definitely the way to go. I've not done well recently but overall this year I'm certainly in profit, especially around late Jan-early Feb, and it was down to pretty much keeping it at no more than trebles, £10 or so on them. Sure, you won't win them all but long-term there's no doubt you'll win more regularly. Like me, it seems you get that feeling of "ah what's the harm in adding them in as well?" Someone said on here, forgotten who, but it sums it up: you have to differentiate between betting for fun (let's be honest, we all enjoy an audacious £1/£2 on 7 or 8 teams), and betting for profit. Saying all that, only do the larger stakes if you're comfortable with it obviously - something atm I'm not entirely able to say I am. As such, I'm going to go against what I just said and probably do the more ambitious strategy. Perhaps not that many teams though. Going to leave the Italian teams today, will concentrate on the later ones.
  15. Trust me, they're gonna overtake 1 of the top 4 challengers. Wolves are pretty good at home so a draw wasn't so bad. We'll overtake Villa who seem to be having their annual late-season collapse. We were unlucky today. Dominated the game and had some good chances, Wolves defended well though and we had an off day in front of goal. Happens sometimes. You should really see the forum, man. We're "afraid to progress" apparently (because on this occasion we didn't win when we should have).
  16. He's got a way to go yet, like. Even earlier this season he was making the same sorts of mistakes but he's developing, at least. I think next year he's really got to take the PL by the scruff of the neck and show he can be one of the best in the league. He's getting there, slowly.
  17. 0-4, Gibson. Nani is really improving as a player it seems. His awareness is far better than what it was, typified perfectly by that pass - I don't think, say, a year ago, he would have taken the time to look up, and roll it back to Gibson. Great finish.
  18. 0-3, great play from Nani, nonchalant finish from Berbatov.
  19. Berbatov seals it for Man Utd. 2-0.
  20. Very possibly, yes. I can fathom an educated guess as to which one Inter fans would rather win.
  21. Bloody hell. Milito smashes the post.
