Carling Cup fourth round - Arsenal (h) Pre-Match Thread
The Prophet replied to Decky's topic in Football
Nah, Arsenal away nailed on in the next round. In all seriousness though I think the lads that did the buisness tonight deserve a another bash. -

It’s a fourth rate competition and ceased being worth anything when Boro lifted the trophy. Stick with the second string CH. Bullshit. I'd f***ing love to win it, even if it's partly to get the trophy monkey off our backs. Exactly. If we won it there would be loads of ‘any old s*** will do as long as it’s a trophy’ types celebrating like we’d won the Champions League, which would be really embarrassing for those of us who still think NUFC is a proper club not some micky mouse outfit. You'd turn down a trophy and European football? Are you off your tits? -

The same side that won tonight should get their chance in the next round too. Well for me they should. -

Just picking up on what the commentator said there, bar one result our start to the season has been pretty dreamy. Holy shit it just got better. -

First ten minutes highlights why Krul, Taylor and Ranger shouldn't be near the first team really. -

Shambolic stuff. -
Merson is alright, a six hour show wouldn't work without the banter. Windass is down there with Ian Wright in the 'what were they thinking putting these clowns on TV' group. Can't be doing with either of them. I'm trying not to comment because Merson gets me shaking with rage, useless twat.
-
People such as Windass and Merson are fine, fine pundits. Best commentry team around is Sky cricket team, good banter, all have an insightful knowledge of the game, great stuff.
-
Great start to the season but still can't help but think 'what if' in terms of the Blackpool result.

Cahill is a limited player. Arteta and Pinaar usually run the show for Everton. -
Don't see any reason why we can't take this lot next week.

Also apparently the defending for the last goal wasn't good enough completely ignoring the fact we got boned on the counter. -
Apparently our next league game away from home is Chelsea.

..and they say I'm bad, all these fuckers are on strike.
-
Annoying when one of the 'big four' play on a Sunday they get covered but no fucker else does. I'm sat with a hangover and frankly the chat on Soccer Saturday is making my ears bleed, when did it go so far down hill?
-
It really isn't.
-
Concerns will grow if Smith in particular starts tomorrow.

Thatwould be really nice formation Yeah it would be great if Taylor wasn' wank, Jonas could play in the centre and the player kew how to play in said formation. -

Baines doesn't seem the best defensively either. I'd say going forward is the stronger part of his game. -

I can probably count the number of times I've seen him play on both hands and he's comfortably better than Smith. -

I love it when people make a tit of themselves then try to salvage the situation by making out they were trying to wind people up. -
It's a penalty not a fucking pen.
