We've not been out of the top seven all season. We were a Championship side two years ago. Kindly go and boil your head. Move on , we have bought well and have better players than two years ago, and a couple of years before we drop into the Championship , we were in Europe. Football changes and teams improve or fall off. Stop using that as an excuse, how many freaking years must we be out of the Championship before we can claim we can improve and be hoping for better. Unless you're Man City/Chelsea it takes a while to build a squad capable of consistently finishing in the top six. The fact we're even competing a mere year and half follwoing a promotion is a testament to how well Pardew is doing. The season hasn't ended lets see where we finish before the victory laps, i am more focus on how we are performing on the pitch. As i said in another thread is it Ridiculously to congratulate or give credit to Pardew before the end of the season. For now the credit he deserves is keeping us from being relegated and nothing more. Where do you think we'll finish? The fact we're merely competing for the top six shows what a great job he's doing.
  2. Definetly best used as an impact sub.

The defensive side of the Perch-Guthrie partnership was brutally exposed today, the final time we see it with a bit of luck.
  5. His hold up play was abysmal today. Even when he had support he consistently gifted it back to Spurs.
  6. Pretty confident for this one. I think we'll see Tiote and Cabaye in for Perch and Guthrie, that'll be it.
  7. Perfectly good Barca equaliser disallowed, could be massive with ten minutes to go.
  8. The defence as a whole was all over the place today, Simpson and Colo being particularly bad. You pick him out even when he's played alright like, agenda-tastic.

Aye dropping members of settled back line for inexperienced kids who have barely kicked a ball all season and a lad out wide who would of done well to get a touch would of changed the nature of the game.
  10. Had bet 4-1 on Spurs, saw this coming from a mile away. A few things: Guthrie was our best player in the final third by a country mile. Ba was awful, when you're under that much pressure you need your forward to hold up the ball and take a bit of pressure off, he was trying daft bits of skill and passing it back to the Spurs midfield. The defence were individually and as a unit shocking. Colo and simpson were particualrly bad. Having said that Spurs' passand move game was different class, they were pulling us all over the place.
  11. Aye alright Jamie you clueless cunt.
  12. Hope Liverpool are proud of themselves.
  13. Can't see them doing any better than Capello.
  14. Think we may take a bit of a hiding here. Their pace and movement will be far too much, particularly in the middle of the park.
  15. That's as bad as I've seen Modric play.
  16. 101 points when Taylor is subbed in, it's been my best week in ages.
  17. Over the last couple of days had: Gijon-Osasuna to draw - Win Milan/Juve to win - Lose Superbowl - Cruz first touchdown - Win Superbowl - Over 52.5 points - Lose Both Liverpool and Spurs to score - Lose Granada/Malaga - More than 2.5 goals - Win
  18. Wrong discussion I know, but that central midfield will get ripped to shreds at Spurs.
  19. I fully expect Ben Arfa to improve with some decent movement in front of him.
  20. The officiating decision we've suffered most from this season was David Luiz not being given the boot against Chelsea. Mata or more likely Sturridge would of been pulled off to fill the gap which would of changed the entire complexion of the match.
