  1. Obviously means we're signing Toure from Hoffenheim.
  2. Aye, just feel there's a difference between being good at trading and selling yourselves as a stepping stone.
  3. Can't say I'm a fan of the "stepping stone" narrative that's being peddled by the usual club mouthpieces.
  4. They're also much more willing to include release clauses and juicy sell-ons.
  5. It's very NUFC to avoid qualifying for the EC and EL while it's being dominated by English teams. The first team to finish 7th this decade and not qualify ffs.
  6. Just a deal that suits all parties innit. We get a good fee for a player who wants out early on in the window, without selling to a league rival. Gordon gets a move to one of the biggest clubs in Europe. Barca get a good player who'll probably do very well in La Liga.
  7. Linked with Abde by the ever reliable Spanish press.
  8. Rydog with the exclusive.
  9. Feels like it's going to be a busy window. No idea what to expect come the end of it.
  10. Can't resist a bit of Alvarez top scorer at 33s.
  11. The only way we get more dollar is if an English club comes in and blows Barca out the water.
  12. Moretto: “Iraola has not opened up to Milan, neither from an economic standpoint nor a project-based one. Priority to the Premier” Palace it is?
  13. Seems City are looking elsewhere.
  14. For balance, fuck off Froggy (insert safety smiley).
  15. If he recapture his form from a season or two ago, it's a very good buy.
  16. Can't help but think back to Gordon's Champions League interview where he talked about his preference for European football due to the more open, less duel-based football. You can see why. While he does have limited ability, but utilised in the right system, he's a very effective player. It's not really Gordon's ability I have an issue with though, it's his mentality. He's an enormous confidence player, you usually tell whether he fancies it within the first ten minutes of a game. He's also prone to a rush of blood to the head and has let us down in some big moments. So yeah, I'm sure Gordon would go to Bayern or Barca and do very well, but he does come with some baggage. More than anything though (and I accept it might be unfair), I can't help but feel he hasn't really been all in since he was offered up to Liverpool. Given a similar pattern of behaviour of Everton, it'll be interesting to see how he gets on if he starts to face a bit of adversity at his new club. I don't want to sell, but it feels inevitable at this point. There's no point in keeping a player who fancies pastures new.
