No mention of a penalty because the player stays on his feet. Up the other end a Uruguain is kicked in the box and theatrically hurls himslef to the ground and it's a 'stone waller'. Remind me of a Championship game not too long ago where a lad was blatently fouled in the box but stayed on his feet and missed the chance, it was a clear penalty but because he didn't go to ground nothing was given. Its got to the stage where you have to cheat to be rewarded even in the eyes of so called pundits watching the match.

I hope the disallowed goal isn't used as an excuse for that performance. Absolutely awful. Apart from two ten minute spells we were played off the park. The worrying thing is Germany didn't have to play particularly well, we sat off them and let them do what they wanted when they wanted, special praise going to Barry who stood and watched Ozil for large parts of the game. In all honesty it's been coming, this tournament has just been an absolute train wreck. The squad selection was wrong, the team selection was wrong, the players took no responsability, it's embarassing. The thing is whether we shaft Capello or not we're just not good enough, I totally agree with Brooking when he says we need change from the grass roots.
