Ranger changed the game against Liverpool and looked good when he came on against man City and again today for his 7 or 8 minutes. I think the chance he missed today was all down to him and pace and persistence is a fairly good attribute for a forward. Shearer worked with him and thought that he had the makings of a very good forward. Beardsley thinks the same so I’m more than happy to suggest he’s got something about him. He undoubtely has potential I agree, but taking him as a whole at the moment he isn't good enough for the top flight in my opinion.

I don't even agree that he's the better player now, he's looking like a player who until recently hadn't scored a competitive goal for more than a year. What has Ranger shown though? He's got a bit of pace and persistence but I haven't seen much more.

I'd rather see Ranger getting games than Best, at least Ranger looks like he could become a good player. Currently Best is the better player of the two, we can't start players based on how good they may or may not become.

Thought jonas had a good game personally, Shola didn't do a lot wrong either. -
I think some are getting carried away on the Ranger front. The lad is only 19 and he's shown he's very much rough around the edges, the best thing we can do for him is laon him to the Championship. There's no doubt he's useful as a late sub chasing people down, but he's shown absolutely nothing in the way of goal scoring instinct in the eighteen yard box. A loan would allow him to learn his trade and to build up some confidence.

Europe: would you take, er, 5th place right now?

My liverpool supporting mate was watching the game and i got updates from him whilst at work. He said 1-1 was a fair result and Halsey favoured you guys (my mate really dislikes spurs btw). I'll watch when i get home on football first. Probably about right. Your lot couldn't wait to hit the deck at every oppertunity though. -

Rubbish. Showed far more quality on the ball than us. Pinaar wasn't bad either, showed some class in possesion. -

For me the goal was a moment of quality from Lennon, the disappointment is due to the fact they should of been dead and burried, Barton, Lovenkrands and Ranger manager to squander some excellent chances between them. -

Why does the goal have to someones fault? What happened to the days when you could hold your hands up and say good goal? -
Ranger has shown nothing more than being a pest when legs are tired, Shola was alright today, leave it be.

Harper 7 - Didn't do much wrong, helpless for the goal. Simpson 7 - Did well for the most part. Williamson 7 - See Simpson. Colo 9 - An absolute class apart. Enrique 8 - The usual high class stuff from Jose. Barton 6 - Decent first half, seemed to move central second and it went downhill from there. Guthrie 6 - Alright, makes himself available and usually uses the ball well. Nolan 5 - His poorest game in a while, looked tired. Jonas 8 - His best game in ages, actually stuck some decent deliveries in. Best 5 - Decent shift but rarely looked like scroing. Shola 5 - See Best. Ranger and Lovenkrands 5 - Both looked lively but fluffed great chances. -

Decent point, good game for the neutral I bet. It's a kick in the teeth to concede so late on but its hard to argue Spurs didn't deserve something form the game, still, a clinical striker would of put us out of sight. -

Because they're awful. Unbeaten in five away from home, won three of those. -

I know they have had injury problems up front - might be worth checking that out before backing. Cardiff have been inconsistent and Watford have won their last six. -

In fairness Rouledge has offered nothing this season, he's resorted back to type: can beat a man but can't cross for toffee. -

Would of been confident with Tiote in the middle of the park, think without him we'll probably get overrun. Hopefully Spurs have their annual collapse up here. -

Is there anything he can't do?
-
One game. Not that he played. Can't really say that me seeing him have anything to say really. Done Wise-scouting on him, that's all. He's linked to Premier League clubs, young, and out of contract. We should have room for these types of signings tbh. Don't know if there's some sort of deep-rooted NUFC joke in there but you're joking, right? About? Are you retarded? Genuine question.
