  1. Agreed I find the standard so bad it's of no interest to me Having said that not having a top level team to follow probably plays a part, if the Newcastle team was in say the top league I'd probably watch them here and there, and want them to do well assuming the matches didn't clash with matches I'd want to watch
  2. I really don't see 4-6 points Think it's 2 points at best (obviously Howe won't be thinking like that and rightly so) However if we get 4-6 points then staying on a 7 makes no sense

    Joe Willock

Don't think it will ever work for him in a midfield 2, especially if we are playing 4 at the back Need to get an extra midfielder in and let him play with a bit more freedom
  4. If we had gotten 6 points from the last 2 games I would have been at a 7 but the 4 points puts me on 8. For me the 8 stays as long as we are no more than 6 points adrift come January
  5. Thought he was poor early on (who wasn't) but played better as the game on, was involved a lot when we were really putting them under pressure
  6. Need City to beat Watford and suddenly things don't seem too disastrous If we can stay within 6 points of safety by the transfer window we have a chance
  7. That midfield pairing with 4 at the back is a concern but I suppose this isn't the time for a safety approach, a must win game so we need to really come out of the blocks
  8. Definitely a cross, took a defection
  9. On his podcast Wilson mentioned in pre-season he looks for the fittest person in the squad and tries to keep up with him, he said Lewis was that person and he was flying
  10. I really hope Man-U don't win, want them to cry about that perfectly legitimate goal
  11. I'm baffled that is even being labelled as controversial As clear a goal as you will see and suggestions of Arsenal giving a goal back is utterly ridiculous
  12. Ritchie did do well towards the end of last season, he was solid enough and he clearly had an affect on the team by driving them This season however he's been horrific, ultimately he's not a left back. His legs have well and truly gone, don't think he even offers anything in a more advanced role Lewis has to play from now onwards, though a LB in January would do nicely
  13. Emotions get the better of people, he's not the first player to have that (see Shelvey after his sending off at Spurs and I remember Hayden at Cardiff) and he won't be the last Overall I think it's fair to say he's been a decent servant for the club but under a normal club he would have been moved on a couple of years ago
  14. It's not his fault he is still here and it's not his fault that he kept on getting picked but yesterday was his fault, the initial clearance/pass was pathetic and then his decision making too so he's rightly going to get criticised for it, even more so when you consider the magnitude of the game
  15. There was one slightly wayward pass but Lewis recovered it by winning the tackle, aside from that he was brilliant. He's our best defender by far, actually criminal that he was out of the side never mind the squad
  16. Joelinton giving it away cheaply, needs to be better
  17. Lewis will probably make a mistake now but how much better than Ritchie has he looked It's baffling he hasn't had a look in
  18. Me We've had some half chances on the break but all this running will be taking it out of the players We are not very fit with eleven players so we'll be gassed very soon A clean sheet would be immense and just have to try and beat Burnley
  19. It's not even a case of hindsight, we've all known for ages that he's shit and a liability It's just frustrating that it's come in such an important game
  20. We've known for ages Clark is shit, Howe is learning that today in a very painful way
  21. There is a reason we have been saying Clark needs to be away from the team
