  1. Not sure if it's been mentioned, but apparently we've had a loan bid turned down for Michael Mancienne
  2. Have just found this on the 606 website: Does anyone know which team or players this person is talking about?
  3. Would be funny to play Given and get him cup-tied
  4. Newcastle poised to bid for Rangers defender Bougherra Rangers are braced for a January transfer bid from Newcastle United for their central defender Madjid Bougherra. The Algeria international, who moved to Ibrox in a £2million deal from Charlton Athletic in August, has interested Joe Kinnear after a string of impressive displays in the Scottish Premier League. Bougherra's representatives are understood to have informed Rangers of the interest from Tyneside which should be followed up with a formal offer within the next month. Rangers will demand at least £3m for the 26-year-old, who has also served Crewe Alexandra and Sheffield Wednesday. He is expected to return from injury for Rangers' visit to Inverness on Sunday. Walter Smith has made no secret of his desire to trim his squad and, while he would rather it was fringe players who departed Ibrox, Bougherra's value and wage level mean Rangers would find it difficult to reject a serious bid. If Bougherra is sold, Smith would almost certainly move for a direct replacement in £3m-rated Hearts captain Christophe Berra. Rangers have also been linked with Portsmouth's veteran defender Hermann Hreidarsson, who says he is certain to leave Fratton Park this month. "I want to leave Portsmouth and the club knows my position and I know they will not make it difficult for me to leave," said Hreidarsson. "I have been in contact with a few clubs and I fully expect to be at another club come the end of this month. Nothing is concrete yet, but hopefully things will get clearer very soon." Middlesbrough, meanwhile, will send scouting representation to Saturday's Edinburgh derby at Tynecastle as they consider a £2.5m bid for the 21-year-old Hibernian striker Steven Fletcher. Celtic are also believed to be keen on the Scotland international, who has two full caps, with Hibs likely to hold out for a fee of at least £3m. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/jan/01/rangers-newcastl
  5. If we could bring him on just for set pieces, then yes
  6. According to the Arsenal fans he`s not been the same since he came back from the African Nations Cup, very injury prone, cant string 2 consecutive games together. Apparently also he looks far better with a defender that compliments his main weakneses - aerially. When Campbell was in central defence with Campbell dominating in the air and Kolo taking care of the rest and the more tricky players.Gallas and Toure just don`t play well as a partnership. Bit like the Coloccini situation? We need a big centre half that can dominate the aerial balls.....dont think we`d have much chance of getting him anyway. I can see Man City going for him Quite surprised by that. Is there an underlying reason as to why? Hates Gallas http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1103386/Toure-set-quit-Gunners-blazing-bust-defensive-partner-Gallas.html This explains it. He had a bust up with Gallas after the 2-2 draw at Villa and he feels that Wenger is taking Gallas's side. Cherno Samba the perfect partner. agreed. Not sure how true the reports are that he`s unsettled at Blackburn but would be a very good signing for us. 6`5 and 24 years old. Again there would be other clubs after him I`m sure. Never knew the boy wonder was at Rovers!! He's mixing him up with Christopher I think
  7. Man City are going to buy Wayne Bridge for £15million. That's insane

    Happy New Year!

If we beat Hull on Saturday, we will have a good year, if we lose, we will have a bad year HNY
  9. Interested in Delph again http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1103399/Premier-League-quartet-set-battle-Leeds-whizzkid-Delph.html?ITO=1490
  10. Didn't Laurent Robert punch Oliver when he only gave him a 2 in the Chron?
  11. Correct. Isnt there a blooper with the Kluivert goal v Chelsea as well Think so, like the yellow ball turns white when they celebrate. Not 100% sure but isn't the signing of that other striker like a month before the end of the season.. Yeah it's something daft like that. The timeline in it is really muddled up. It's watchable though, they're meant to be making a third one where he plays for Argentina, or are, or have, or whatever. Mexico?
  12. Someone on nufcblog has posted that we are going to sign Peter Friis Jensen from Randers FC. Another goalkeeper.
  13. There is a massive blooper in the film. Won't spoil it for people though
  14. Would love it if we had a new signing by Saturday
