And also presumably 3 players for less than 55 mil from abroad who have been rubbish? Kroupi wasn't a summer transfer fwiw and also not a right winger I think it's very easy to say we should take more punts from abroad but not provide any names when a lot of foreign imports last summer have been rubbish.
-
I think without any names then you're going to struggle to convince me we could have got a left back, right back and a right winger for £55mil Was Thiaw a punt from abroad? He's done really well and people were angry we signed him
-
It's not as simple as just taking punts abroad though. People on here were angry we weren't signing Guessand and Kalimuendo in the summer They've both been useless. Have you any names in mind out of interest? I think there's still an overhang in the club from the Anderson/Minteh/FFP summer and therefore we feel we can't afford to take punts on players Also early January is notoriously not the time to be looking for bargains

He looked absolutely knackered to be fair

I can't comment on the commentator as didn't hear it but whenever I'm a neutral and I've sat through nearly 120mins of football and it doesn't go to a penalty shootout I feel pretty disappointed
-
I think we snapped at the chance of getting him when we were running out of options to replace Isak and Bayern pulled out of their deal without really thinking how he would fit into the team He looked much more comfortable today being able to roam around in a 10 role and play facing the goal rather than having his back to it

David Brooks is good, always enjoy watching him play
-
Reece James scored ine against us last month
-
I have a real irrational hatred of Lewis Cook
-
Just can't see us changing from the 3 man midfield we've played for the last 4 and a bit years
-
Looked good i thought, felt like he relished being one of the two central midfielders
-
Looks miles better in the number 10 position
-
Has he said much wrong? He did well at Derby under Rooney (look at how bad Rooney has been since without him). Did well at Hull and did well at Strasbourg.
-
Not sure there's much wrong with that Rosenior clip
-
I know nothing about him but yes

I don't think it's true that Wissa did more harm than good. At the very least when he's on the pitch he stretches the play. There's a reason why Wissa probably had more chances than Nick did despite being on for considerably less time
-
Not really. We have to be a lot more intricate with Nick on the pitch
-
I know it's the wrong attitude to have but I really cba going to this one

Why is Neville going on about Liverpool like they're plucky underdogs They're the defending champions and spent hundreds of millions in the summer
-
I brought this up at work and said how fun it was as a child to do it and the younger people in the office were laughing at me about how naff it sounded. I loved it

Is Schar certainly leaving?
