And Trippier

And yet we got Hall, Bruno, Botman, Isak, Burn for ridiculously good deals. Tonali possibly too

Who have we overspent on?

Howe isn't to blame for that

"We don't demand a team that wins..."

some absolutely mad posts on here today

I find this attitude mad. This group of lads have given me some of the best moments supporting Newcastle since the SBR days I'm not denying we need an overhaul but telling them to fuck off and you can't stand them? Have some respect. They may not be good enough any more but they've run through brick walls for us

He didn't do that Anfield, he gave the ball straight to Salah and was lucky it went out for a goal kick
-
Shame Schar's goal was disallowed as Bruno's assist was magnificent
-
His decision making is dreadful at the moment
-
Haven't seen the goals back so apologies if he was at fault for them but I thought he was pretty great today
-
Send him to the glue factory
-
Such a poor footballer at the moment

It's always the same whenever Taylor referees the game He completely loses control and he's always centre of attention

Any sort of stats and figures regarding VAR and 'correcting calls' I always take with a complete pinch of salt. At the end of the day it's just one referees opinion against 2 others in a studio somewhere. Even something that could be black and white like offside calls can be murky by adding in human opinions of whether someone is interfering or standing in the keeprs line of vision For example, the van Dijk shoulder charge on Gordon at SJP earlier this season. Where does that appear in the statistics? Does it go down as a correct call because the referee didn't give a penalty and VAR didn't intervene? Even though the vast majoirty of fans would say that VAR should have intervened and given a penalty? But then again some fans would say it wasn't a penalty at all and it was the correct call So who is deciding what these 'correct calls' are? It's not black and white like goalline technology, it's completely subjective and always will be. It's why VAR can never work in a sport like football

You can't compare a quick glance at the lino to having in the back of your mind that VAR could cancel a goal for any reason minutes after the goal has been scored
-
What do you mean mine was from 2019? It's literally got stats of the opinions from last season

You can't make a claim that there's "untold amounts of polling done among matchgoing fans in multiple nations that say it is" and not provide a single scrap of that evidence. You're telling me you've previously read all nations annual reports and that's how you know it? But can't find one now? Or anything else? Here's some opinion polls for you: https://yougov.co.uk/sport/articles/49627-9-out-of-10-premier-league-viewers-want-changes-to-var-or-for-it-to-be-scrapped-altogether

of course the FA are going to say it isn't ruining goal celebrations (if that's what they've said that is). You said there's a huge amount of evidence saying it hasn't ruined football celebrations but haven't provided even one but had time to do all that maths. I bet if you asked the majority of people on here they'd say VAR has impacted their celebrations negatively

This absolutely isn't true
