Kane tbh.

Would be very hard to get Lennon on loan from Tottenham given he plays for and is owned by Everton. Wat? They've fixed it. When I first read that article earlier today it said he wanted Tottenham winger Aaron Lennon on loan. Yeah, I was going to say something . I actually had to check if we loaned him again.

Meh. I'll take that tbh. I really thought that this would be the big Chelsea "bounce-back" game. Hopefully we can get a rest now.

27 points isn't bad tbf Better than that s***-eating frail c*** Aguero I'd take it. Fair play tbh, I really wasn't expecting him to score . Kept him in cos I figured every time they get a pen he's going to take it.

Man U looking much the more likely winner here.

I still expect you to do something in January, if not sooner. I have a feeling that we might be interested in Ayoze Perez in Jan, and that Ashley may cash in and use that money. If McLaren gets through this week, then I reckon he makes it until Villa. If you lose that then he's history, and a new manager comes in with I reckon at least two, possibly three big purchases in Jan. If you beat Villa, then I think you're in more trouble, weirdly, as I think he might cling on. And he's shite, he really is. Allardyce may be turning it around already, and they're getting the breaks. I don't see them making more than one or two buys - do they have room to loan anybody else? Yedlin played the full game again. I don't think a world exists where Villa don't spend this Jan, but I'm not convinced Garde can make enough of a difference. It looks to me like you, Sunderland, Bournemouth and Norwich will be locked together all season. All those other teams seem to be playing each other a lot around Jan/Feb, whereas your schedule looks pretty scary. If your confidence is shot at that point then I think it's game over. 8 right now, but that's presuming change is around the corner.

I refreshed a page, and thought you'd scored - only just found out you're losing.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3334724/Chelsea-ready-launch-shock-summer-Tottenham-striker-Harry-Kane.html http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/chelsea-eye-transfer-raids-jamie-6908119? Yawn. So boring and predictable. The only question is whether it's journalists making shit up/players' agents/the other teams trying to unsettle players. One from column a, one from column c.

I feel like being "fucking minging" is reasonable justification for a boo.

I would be honoured to see him playing for you. We'd be happy to let him go because we've got a whole load of kids coming through who are going to fit into the team rather better. Levy will ask a s***-ton for a young England International (stop sniggering at the back). Even having lost Azzaoui to Wolfsburg I can see Onomah, Pritchard and Oduwa more involved, let alone people like Chadli and N'jie. If someone's willing to pay Levy what he'll ask then Townsend will be out the door. I don't mind Townsend: he's capable of being very dangerous. He just doesn't seem to be learning and developing as fast as Poch would like. Shelvey would be miles better, like.

f***! Powerful stuff. As someone who no longer lives on Tyneside, personally I really like listening to TG's take on things. The grasp of the match details, the accent, humour, and most of all the fact it means so much, reminds me of pub conversations/'post-mortems' back home in Gateshead, with friends and older regulars (some real characters). Wish we had more of that anger and unwillingness to accept half-arsed effort, coming across from the stands. It always used to be the case that there was nowhere to hide for players; if they weren't putting a shift in we would let them know. I think it made a difference: not talking the ultra critical entitlement which seems to filter through online, more firm but fair holding to account, veering from raw rage to appreciation where it was due. Yeah, I like listening to these guys too - TG and the ilk in other clubs. I mean, they're often irritating, but now I'm in the US I miss that drunken deconstruction of the match in the pub...and the accents.

Yup. The bottom five are so poor - Bournemouth have been screwed by injuries, Villa are even more bereft of confidence than you, and Sunderland and Norwich are essentially Championship squads with a couple of decent players. That 6-2 did happen, and you should have gubbed Sunderland. So much depends on January. Garde and Allardyce will have a chance to remodel their teams a little. Villa's net spend in the summer was less than 10M. I don't think Bournemouth have the money to do anything, unless they work some loan magic, and Norwich will struggle to attract players. The big question is whether Ashley will open his chequebook up, given that you spent a s***-ton of money this summer. I think that if he does, you'll be fine - but it will be ugly. You must be feeling pretty smug right now after last season. After last season? This ain't the place for smug though . Although I did read the KUMB match thread start to finish. I know that there's a growing narrative that it's not just the coaching, that you guys are desperately lacking in quality, but I still think you're in a better position than the other four I mentioned. You need a leader, that much is clear. McLaren wouldn't fill me with confidence. Your next three games look a bit scary, but then it's Villa at home. That's the acid test.

Yup. Who was it, and what injury?
-
Just had a quick look at my team for the first time in a few days. Fuck me, everybody's yellow or orange inj.
-
Seriously. You often hear about managers talking about how guys like Beckham, Ronaldo and Lampard would do extra shooting practice after training. You don't hear that about any of these players, though. Confirmation bias. I know for a fact that Kane's been doing this for years.
-
I don't particularly rate Walker, but he's been quite good this year, since recovering from injury.
-
Just checked the origin. Looks like it's "average number of consecutive seasons played by footballers on the pitch in the first-team squad of their club". In other words, because we've got so many young players, they've actually been at our club 4-5+ years, but only count as 1-2 because they've been in the U-21s, or on loan. Interesting nonetheless, but pretty useless in our case.
-
Quite. Not sure how that got that for us, given that loads of our squad came from our youth ranks and have been with us for 4-5 years or so.
-
If our interest was genuine before then I can see us making a call.
-
They really are, although it has to be said that their fixtures have been about as good as they can have wished for. Still to play Man U, Man City, Liverpool, Everton and Chelsea, although the latter should hold no fears. Also, they did get gubbed at home by Arsenal.
