That's true, and I've never said he's rubbish, but his lesser points mean he won't make it with a really good team.
-
If he had a brain he'd be awesome. What a fucking goal.
-
West Ham are pissing this.
-
It must be sickening to have spent your formative years in London and ended up supporting QPR. At least Millwall and Crystal Palace are interesting. Leading you child to support QPR is just reckless parenting. Support your community club - I like it tbh. It's a great thing about supporting footy in and around London, even the local non-leaguers get decent crowds.
-
Enjoying this. Needs a QPR goal though, or a West Ham red card.
-
Absolutely. His only solution is to keep winning, and that's by no means guaranteed - he's only been here for half a dozen games or so.

Just wanted to get it off my chest.

How Journalism Works AVB made a journalist look a bit of a fool at a press conference on Thursday. The initial question asked was "“Andre, do you understand Hugo Lloris’ frustration about the situation, because you did pay a lot of money for him?" This was followed by: AVB: “What is the frustration?” Journalist: “Well, the frustration at not being in the team.” AVB: “How do you know?” Journalist: “Well, he didn’t play last night, did he?” AVB: “How do you know he’s frustrated?” Journalist: “No, I’m asking you, do you find him frustrated?” and it continued in a similar vein (http://www.offthepost.info/blog/2012/09/tottenham-manager-andre-villas-boas-hilarious-response-to-hugo-lloris-frustration-question/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+offthepost%2FTLAa+(Off+The+Post)). Then this morning's Sun carried the following piece: UNHAPPY Tottenham stars held showdown talks with Andre Villas-Boas over his training and tactics. MUTINY ... Villas-Boas has unhappy players at Spurs Spurs in turmoil 'Tired' stars slam AVB Exclusive By PAUL JIGGINS (source: The Sun) Boss AVB also had a bust-up with technical co-ordinator Tim Sherwood, who is allegedly angry at being frozen out. Players complained that AVB’s gruelling double training sessions — sometimes staged just 24 hours before a match — left them too tired to perform in Premier League matches this season. And Spurs stars have also hit out at their manager’s negative style of football, telling him they would prefer to play a more attacking system. AVB has scrapped the double training sessions after listening to his squad. Spurs, away at Manchester United tonight, are eighth in the table and unbeaten since losing at Newcastle in their opening game. But AVB is said to have been left reeling by the mutiny, which reportedly follows bust-ups with some of the club’s old guard behind the scenes. The Portuguese boss, who took over in July, ruthlessly axed chief scout Ian Broomfield earlier this month. AVB’s row with Sherwood has also caused concern. The former midfielder was looking to be more involved with the first team this season. But AVB said this week: “I think the chairman sees Tim working with the development squad.” Sherwood may quit if his old club Blackburn offer him the chance to replace Steve Kean, who quit last night. The situation has echoes of the way AVB infuriated the Chelsea squad last season before he was sacked. Villas-Boas was fined £12,000 for criticising referee Chris Foy last season — and the same man takes charge today. Asked whether United boss Alex Ferguson has an influence over refs, the Spurs boss said: “It’s an interesting question but I paid a very high fine last time and I don’t want to do that again.” Any relevant quotes from the players? No. Any "insider" quoted? No. Who's the writer? Paul Jiggins. Guess who the journalist at the press conference was? And the icing on the cake: Paul Jiggins @jggns Im optimistic Arsenal can have a good season. Lets get it started today with a couple of goals and a clean sheet. I know we all know this by now, but I think it's nice to be reminded from time to time. They make it up, and they have agendas. And while I'm at it, thank fuck we won today. Great in the first half and shite in the second, but we got some of the breaks that we've missed in the past.

Ah boo, Liverpool level.
-
If you can imagine such a thing.
-
BBC printing messages from people wittering on about Lloris not being in the squad, when any Spurs fan with a brain expected Cudicini and Gomes (keepers 3 and 4). I smell Gooners trying to make trouble. Or possibly Spurs fans without brains I suppose (but how many of those can there be, really).

Few injuries tonight please lads. Rooney for starters.
-
Don't worry, I wasn't born during Euro 96 either, and I'm nearly 40.
-
I really don't understand this. I mean, it superficially sounds dodgy, but then (a) Isn't he just as likely to be a Man City fan? (b) Sunderland is only 10 or so miles from Newcastle, and I'm guessing you wouldn't be happy about a Mackem ref. Not necessarily any kind of an issue at all.

What is that supposed old Chinese curse - "May you live in interesting times."

Wanted this to happen, but didn't think he'd actually go through with it. Looking forward to this now. Btw we have no other LBs. BAE is injured, Naughton was the cover (also injured). We got rid of Rose on loan because he's not very good (if you don't know where he went, have a guess), and were supposed to be getting Fryers from Man U but prem regulations let Standard Liege gazump us. Will be looking in Jan, unless Bale is awesome.

Why the hell should they be allowed to have the stadium without paying a proper chunk (assuming no-ones going to stump up the full cost) of the conversion? They were always going to do this. Ours was the only reasonable bid, we said that all along. If they get it then a couple of years down the line they will be pushing for the track to be removed etc etc. still, they're proper gentlemen, they give visiting chairmen seats, food and everything...

If Brummie's feeling anything right now, I'm betting it's not smug .

How many shots have Sunderland had?
-
The thing about Everton's start is that they have pretty much everybody available. Jelavic is the one real player missing, after his knock against you, and he will be back next week. Then you look at ourselves and yourselves, who have the usual catalogue of injuries. They will struggle if they pick up a couple of injuries, as I don't think they have fantastic strength in depth, but as we are both in Europe I don't see our situation improving any time soon.
-
He was the weakest link last year too. I think they'll really miss Caulker (but then I would say that, wouldn't I?)
-
I thought so tbh. Happy it was a yellow and not a red, at least.
-
Terrible start though! This could be a high-scoring game.

I can't bring myself to watch any of this. All I can do is expose their propaganda as such to save any weaker souls over here. I'll do my best...
