didn't he crack some bloke in the Huddersfield game? Aye. Local lad, Lee Novak. http://images.icnetwork.co.uk/upl/nechronical/jul2009/2/5/fabricio-coloccini-and-lee-novak-745506700.jpg

Be brilliant if we got him permanently like. I've seen enough of him to know he's brilliant, and I get the feeling he's got the Toon bug aswell.

I don't know what's worse, the kneejerk nature of this thread or the writing off of an 18 year old after a handful of first team runouts.
-
It's not about if he's any worse than Smith - as Smith plays in a completely different position to him. Smith doesn't play a position. He hides and fulfills no purpose.

I'd probably cry.

Can't even think of any youngsters appearing on the horizon that will suddenly have a breakout season that can play on the right. Not saying that's the answer, but it'd be great if it was an option. Ryan Taylor is an option if we are desperate. He'd probably lose the ball under the slightest pressure from the opposition though. He would be if he wasn't out for 3 months. -

What a shocking refereeing decision in the Hartlepool game.

West Ham agree fee in region of £15m with Liverpool for Andy Carroll

£10-15 million for a player who's contract is out in 6 months? Not that I think we'd go for him. -
Surely that's like saying Drogba and Lampard hide a lot of Chelsea's inadequacies? or Messi and Xavi hide a lot of Barca's inadequacies. Take away any teams best 2 players...

I'm not one to disappoint mate. But, can anyone see this squad being good enough to stay up? Yes. But even if I didn't I wouldn't shout it from the rooftops on the back of every bad result. Jesus wept. -
Boring.

We've got to get him a strike partner like. Get the Wallet out Ashley. -
Canny.

Who's Fontas? Just another one rolling off the production line I see.

50 for me if he doesn't get injured. He'll be Barca's record scorer by 25.

It would be of absolutely no harm to let him leave for free. Even if we were at our bare bones and had to play youth players there, they'd do no worse than he does out there. However, it would be difficult to even let him leave for free because of his wages.

Wonder how many goals Messi will get this season.

He's worse than Perch. Perch looked good in the Championship, unlike Smith.

Anyway, it should have been Jonas Nolan Guthrie Routledge Today. -

Regardless of whether I rate Guthrie or not and his respective attributes, your argument is still completely insane. -

If we played Tiote on the wing for a few games and he didn't adapt to that position immediately I'd never want to see him in a Toon shirt again like. -

Still he should be sticking to his position of RM more than he does, did we actually create a good attack from our right-side in the 1st 50 mins Also barton can play the position well and adapt to it, why can't guthrie? Cos he's so limited as a footballer. What a crock of s*** argument. Stop defending s*** footballers man. Good footballers adapt to what they are told to do, Guthrie clearly can't adapt. Again, absolute mental argument. There are some f***ing fantastic footballers that would struggle to play out of position. Some will, but Guthrie has shown nothing for me in the 1 and 1/2 seasons he can't cut it out in the premiership. How many of them was he playing on the fking wing though. A few, but is he starting to learn how to play on the wing though After being played out of position for a number of games, you start to change your game a little, i've seen nothing as him as a player he's learning to play in that position. Does the changing of him in CM and us playing better relate to him playing in CM or us having a proper RM in routledge playing Fucking hell. Again with judging him on his ability to play out of position. You're mental.
