At first I thought it would be some tabloid filler, but no, there's actual quotes so this is serious. Stupid fucking cunts them two like. Gold and Sullivan that is.

I love that home shirt.

I know but Kolarov is a liability everywhere.. can't cross to save his life Haven't seen him play much to be honest. Really need to start paying more attention to Serie A. They used to be linked with Filipe Luis from Depor, who's been true class these past two seasons. Hope they forget about him (and I'd love to see us revive our interest, Abidal isn't getting any younger and is injured a lot). You not been impressed with Maxwell then? I think he's been a bit of a bargain, however I guess he's always a risk up against quality opposition. Against poorer sides he's a very good option imo.

Sweepstake with mates today I got: Winners - Argentina Top Scorer - South Korea, went for Park Chu-Young Come on the Argies!

Rommedahl. Awful player. That's a very good CB partnership Denmark have though.

And ultimately get drastically ripped off, and supply rivals teams with funds to improve. Sound transfer policy.

He's worth what someone will pay for him. I personally don't think any footballer is worth more than a set of tracksuits and a few match balls, but that's not the way these things work. Of course, but in relative to the current transfer market it's a ludicrous price. Man City are inflating prices with this kind of thing, the 'ruining football' lark is a bit sensationalist, but the way things are going it's getting that way. You won't find an adequate replacement with that money either, unless MoN bites the bullet and starts buying foreign.

Gotta say I'm on Ronaldo's side with this. There's no way Milner is worth £20 million IMO.

Well that ain't true. I think it is, when was the last time you saw a mid table English team play something other than 4-4-2 or 4-5-1? Even 4-4-2 is becoming a rarity. There's never any dynamism or fluidity to football in England. 1 man upfront and grafting midfielders the order of the day.
-
At the end of the day take a run of the mill La Liga player and put him in a low-level English team and they'll struggle to adapt (Borja Valero). However this doesn't indicate the quality of the teams is stronger in England, because put lower-level English teams against lower level Spanish teams and the Spanish teams would pass them off the park. They're just technically and tactically far superior.

I'd bet the lower teams in La Liga would make mince-meat of some of the dross in the bottom half of the Prem. Just because the gulf between the top 2 and the rest is huge, doesn't mean the rest are completely shit.

Okay so if for the sake of argument we'll take Txiki on his word and that Ibra is not for sale, how the hell are all these attacking options going to possibly fit into one line-up? Villa - Ibra - Messi? Or maybe Villa and Ibra upfront and Messi playing in behind as trequatista (he drifts into that role alot anyway). Either way that's going to be ridiculously harsh on Pedro/Bojan. I just can't see Ibra staying, because the likelyhood is he's going to be on the bench, and if that's the case then the money that is being paid to Ibra is simply not economically for a subsititute. How do you feel about the Villa signing, dissapointed with the money you're spending bein similar to Madrid's transfer policy? or just generally excited by the possibilities of next season?

That shirt is fucking horrendous. Inter usually haw such smart shirts aswell.
-
Reports in Spain that Barcelona are signing Villa for 50 million euros. Absolutely insane for somebody approaching 30, what did they do, just walk in and hand over a blank cheque to Valencia?
-
Hate the whole penalty feinting thing. If anybody has ever watched South American football on a regular basis, particularly Brazilian, it's a very regular occurence.
-
I assumed Disco had copied and pasted this from somewhere else? The 1980s perhaps?
-
In an ideal world by the time Villa's on the downward spiral Bojan will be ready to step into his place.

Domenech makes him team selections based on tarrot cards and horoscopes. The man is clearly a sandwich short of a picnic and is really running Maradona close in the looney stakes. Could the FFF not afford to get rid or something then? Surely they can see he is toss, his players have spoken out previously and I'm sure he got a 20% confidence vote in L'Equipe or something earlier in the season. Not sure he is as mental as Diego though. I eagerly await his antics next month. Who knows to be honest, I guess they feel they have to give him the chance considering he did take them to a World Cup final last time out... Thank god they didn't win it that year, to think he could have gone down in history as a World Cup winning manager.

Mifsud is incidentally now scoring for fun back in Malta, alongside none other than Jordi Cruyff.

To be honest we'd probably take a bag of chips for him. But his wages are surely too big. The big open spaces in Spanish football hindered his good attributes. He flourished in England because he was able to get the best out of his dribbling ability in tight spaces, weaving in and out of tackles etc. I get the feeling when he has acres to run into and has more time and space to make decisions he then doesn't know what to do with it. The biggest factor in his downfall is the lack of Wenger though, he thought he was better than he was and underestimated how much Arsene and Arsenal got the best out of him and made him look better than he actually is.
-
No, no... the first link is what he said after his first season with us. The second is what he just said today after his season at Stuttgart. Still, looks like a good sport when things don't go his way. Ohhh, I should pay better attention to the dates Still, very bitter indeed. His career has really gone off the wall since leaving Arsenal.

What a prick. I like pleb as a player, but that's no way to go on. Ffs he's criticising two managers in the space of a day
-
I think that's his regular position for France. Sure I heard one of the La Liga commentators say that.
