Charlie Wyke looks like the same useless lump I saw play for Hartlepool. It's quite hilarious he's their #9. Honestly thought he'd end up with a career in non-league.

  3. Every goal he scored for Blackpool seemed to be a belter
  4. He looked ace. Love when a player makes his debut and his first touch of the ball makes you happy. Ben Arfa (9 years ago) probably the last time that happened
  5. He was outstanding tonight. Seemed to misplace a pass every time the commentators mentioned that fact though.
  6. super scout strikes again
  7. Barely looked like a footballer tonight. Genuine 1/10 performance.
  8. Can remember him scoring 5 off the top of my head. Really? After Sunderland and that one in the very early stages of the Europa League that's now been brought up, i cant remember Sunlun Atromitos 2 in the League Cup vs Chelsea and Scunthorpe Ipswich in the Championship
  9. Can remember him scoring 5 off the top of my head.
  10. Qatar have won all their games and scored 18 goals. That Japan goal is the first they've conceded. I know they've spent a lot on their football programme in recent years but that is mental.
  11. Pretty much. Also probably the worst central midfielder I've seen for us.

Not at SJP I don't think, but loads of times at away games.

Blasted through the show last few days. It's a cracking documentary.
  14. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colin_Kazim-Richards Has anybody had a stranger/more interesting career than Kazim-Richards? Signed by Brighton from Bury for £250,000 because a fan won a competition with Coca-Cola. Went on to play for both Fenerbahce and Galatasaray, scoring against Chelsea in the CL, playing for Turkey through his Cypriot mother and playing in Euro 2008 semi final. Has continued having a journeyman career across 6 more countries which has seen league title wins in Greece, Scotland and Brazil. Now on loan at a mid-table Mexican side because why not. Excited to see what he does next.
  15. http://european-football-statistics.co.uk/attnclub/league/newu.htm 1976 32,221 1977 32,144 Admittedly they did go down quite considerably after relegation in 78.
  16. To be honest I'm broadly of the school of thought that spending big money on CBs is a false economy anyway, at least at the bottom end of things. If you're coaching a defensively minded side it's possible to get a lot from a little. Big money on defenders is only really justified when you're getting somebody absolutely out of this world as a footballer and athlete, and they're being bought to play in a side where you need to be excellent at that. I doubted the money at the time but van Dijk is probably an example of this.
  17. They only look like great options because Rafa is a good coach at organising a back four and drilling defenders, tbh. Admittedly it is a nice bonus to actually have 5 natural CBs at the club, even if they're mainly ordinary.
  18. Not sure if Leicester City or Harchester United.
  19. Fucking great game. Sevilla have been class.
  20. That one was even better IMO. Astonishing goalkeeping.
