if rooney is going to become England's record goalscorer, limping over the line with soft penalties against San Marino is certainly the most appropriate way for him to do so
-
I fucking hate Obertan, Gouffran and Elliot. They run it close. Williamson though is the only one who I look at wonder how the fuck he's made it as a pro. He's one of those players that makes you consider how many pisshead morons dropped out of the game to allow him a free path to a decent level. He's fucking garbage and he's the luckiest man alive to have played 150+ games for a PL club.

got a former Bhutanese MP in my celta class, might tell him his country are fucking useless

Real haven't fucked up at all. They've got Navas who's a very good 'keeper. He'll be fine for a season then they'll take De Gea on a free. If Madrid were desperate they'd have got him months ago. They're not and they could afford to take their chances on playing chicken to push the fee down towards the end of the window.

He's a good signing for them.

Why absolve Fergie when he's to blame? Their transfer activity in Fergie's last few years was shocking and is half the reason they're needing to make such desperate signings now. He thought a core of Jones, Smalling, Cleverley, Zaha, Welbeck etc was going to be the future. Senile old cunt. There were obvious signings that had to be made when Moyes came in and they didn't get any of them. The Woodword guy is terrible. They've gone from Carrick/Cleverley/Anderson/Fletcher to Schneiderlin/Schweinsteiger/Carrick/Herrera/Blind in midfield. Its an improvement, despite the slapdash and desperate nature of trying to get there. The level of neglect of key areas of the pitch by Fergie was so bad that part of me thinks he did it on purpose to make himself look good. I mean did nobody at Man Utd stop to tell Fergie that Ferdinand/Vidic/Evra/Scholes/Giggs would all need replacing and signing Zaha, Nick Powell, Phil Jones etc was hardly the best way of going about doing it. Yeah Fergie really had to make himself look good. That's a ridiculous thing to say! He certainly could have left them with better players but it was the end of that definitive manu team with so many players coming to the end. There were obvious holes to fill that weren't addressed when he left and the desperate spunking of money is not looking like it's building a very great team. Well I'm finding it very hard to work out why he made such a fucking shambles of his last ~4 years in the transfer window. If it wasn't a deliberate ploy it was was fuckawful management. He left them with an entire generation of players heading towards the end of their careers (Vidic, Ferdinand, Evra, Scholes, Giggs, Carrick, Fletcher, Rooney) and replaced them with a supposed future nucleus of Jones, Smalling, Rafael, Evans, Cleverley, Zaha, Welbeck, Hernandez etc. Literally the only one he got right was De Gea replacing VdS. He even let Pogba go on a free instead deciding to give Cleverley a long term deal FFS. Then to top it all off he handed the gig of the self proclaimed biggest club in the world to David fucking Moyes. The reason they're now desperately needing to throw 30 and 40 million around at the likes of Di Maria, Depay, Mata etc is because they need genuine quality. It was a very poorly handed transition and Fergie is the man to blame, regardless of what a great manager he was.

14:30 Olivier Kemen undergoing Lyon medical This time around, Olivier Kemen is indeed undergoing a medical with Lyon ahead of a possible transfer from Newcastle, as revealed by our colleagues at Foot Mercato.
-
Oliver Kemen could join Lyon today, talks ongoing, according to L'Équipe
-
Hope not, he's fucking wank from what I've seen.
-
If he can run he's an upgrade on Rooney
-
Rooney must be pissing himself laughing that he's gonna be on 300k a week for the rest of his contract despite his body quite visibly giving up on him. Him and his agent have played Man Utd like total fucking mugs. He's literally their only striker and captain nailed on to start every week despite clearly not being fit for purpose anymore.

Newcastle 0-1 Andre Marriner - 29/8/15 - Post Match Reaction From Page 5

Does your free season ticket work? It's been like this for ages, increasingly so all the time. Whenever we play one of the better sides, home or away, the crowd goes home absolutely buzzing if we do anything other than get absolutely obliterated. It used to be just the top couple of sides in the division. Now if we play Swansea City and don't get fucked up the arse, it's treated as a moral victory. Meanwhile West Ham have already won away at Liverpool and Arsenal. As a support, we write these games off and are delighted to do so. One of the many reasons I can't be fucked with it any more. Nah didn't work, guess they were just trying to tempt us. Copped some free tickets from elsewhere for the first few games. The atmosphere was pretty good on Saturday; everybody bought into the typical "everything is against us" collective mentality after the red card. I just thought we were shite to be honest. It was better than getting fucked 0-6 under Pardew but I'm bored of us going into games against half the league with an underdog mentality and style of play. Only so much "gan on Jack lad" as Colback desperately chases more fleet footed Arsenal players that I can take during a Saturday's entertainment. -
Gambles, smokes, plays the field and takes on legal loan sharks when he's taking time out from scoring 90th minute winners. Legend, build a statue next to Milburn's IMO.

Midfielders: Michael Carrick (Manchester United), James Milner (Liverpool), Ross Barkley (Everton), Jonjo Shelvey (Swansea City), Ryan Mason (Tottenham Hotspur), Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (Arsenal), Fabian Delph (Manchester City). grim

Steady Mclaren is doing a terrific job with the resources available /s The players got a rousing reception coming off the pitch having lost 0-1 and had 1 shot in 90 minutes and half the team either booked or sent off. It was garbage IMO and I'm not trying to fish or wind people up. -

I must be going completely against the grain by having the view of not being aggrieved with the red card decision (it was somewhere between a yellow and red IMO) and didn't come away from the match particularly pleased with the display. How many shots did we have yesterday? I thought we were basically shite, even with the obvious disadvantage of being down to 10 men you should offer more.
