  1. Froggy's little more than a parasite that feeds on the enjoyment generated by a successful football club he has no connection to. He's the cuckoo of football fandom.
  2. if he's good I get to watch a canny footballer, if he's a disaster I get to call Ashley and the club a bunch of clueless cunts. Win/win IMO.
  3. Southampton and Swansea's scouting always seems ace because they both have stable, functioning football clubs. They have a continuity in decision making at board level and style of play that they want to see on the pitch. They continually sign players to fit into their system and to fill positions they need. They sell a player and they buy a replacement they've already had lined up. It is a constant rejuvenation and squad building process. Ours by comparison is a mess that reflects the lack of knowledge and stability at board level and the lack of an ingrained style of play. We change our supposed policy every summer, replace players on 1-2 year delays, sign players we don't need because they're cheap etc etc. Not to mention we have no real actual footballing ethos running through the club, resulting in players who don't settle and get worse playing for us. Carr is only one bloke. I'm sure he knows his football and can spot decent players, but that doesn't change the fact he's one man picking footballers for a PL club in a global game. It's inevitable our competitive edge is limited if we're scouting 2-3 countries with a budget that has us quickly moving onto our 3rd and 4th choices.
  4. you mean on that video? Pretty sure that's Lille fans. They hate him because he signed for them and then whinged his way out without ever playing a game.'
  5. Fellaini a better striker than Rooney
  6. It's incredible how nobody has really noticed or commented on Rooney's massive decline since about 2011ish. It's literally been season on season.
  7. Depay obviously gonna be Man Utd's best and most entertaining player tbh. Just a shame he'll be let down by cumbersome shite like Rooney and Carrick.
  8. Depay literally the only Man Utd player worth watching from the entire squad

  10. they created nowt and their subs were a fat lad and Dan Gosling. Will do well to match Burnley last year.
  11. I think they're absolutely nailed on relegated tbh

  13. There's got to be loads of away games I can't remember now like. One weird one was Blackburn away in the LC a couple of years ago. Were on our way down the stairs at 2-0 down and at 90+3' when Guthrie smacked one in from 25 yards. Stayed for the last few minutes standing on the stairs when we got a free-kick and Cabaye stuck it in and went mental. It was hard to process the fact we somehow had extra time to watch after the absolute shambles that the game was
  14. Jonas vs West Ham was up there like. And all the more surprising considering how apathetic I'd become up until that point. Was watching it in a football bar in Sofia with a load of people from the hostel that mostly had little interest in football (Aussies, Americans, South Africans etc) and I'd been telling them how I wasn't arsed about whether we went down or not. Went absolutely mental when Jonas scored and was nearly crying for the man Must have thought I was a fucking loon if that was me 'not arsed'.
  15. Was it Darius Vassell for City who scored that hilarious scuffed effort at the Stadium of Light? Whoever scored that goal I was fucking pissing myself "Man City 2-1 Sunderland" into Youtube, absolutely amazing. About 1.30 in. It's fucking class, worst winning goal ever scored
  16. Iniesta against Chelsea? I was going to say this for a goal not concerning Newcastle. fantastic moment Said this before but I genuinely think that's the greatest moment in football history.
  17. Away from most celebrated, how about goals that have made you laugh the most. I genuinely couldn't get over Sammy Ameobi at Hull last year for a good 10 minutes.
  18. I mean, let's try and compartmentalize this. Our dealings from getting Ben Arfa permanently in Jan 2011 up to getting Cisse permanently in Jan 2012 were largely great. Carroll went, which was obviously fucking horrendous, but we cleared out the old guard (Barton, Nolan) and we signed HBA, Ba, Cisse, Santon, Cabaye with the money and the team improved dramatically in a new direction because of it. Probably the biggest improvement since we signed Robert and Bellamy. We were all critical, but there was a plan and it worked and you could credit it. Since then, however, it has basically been a shambles. We then spent the following summer signing just 1 player (Anita), who we didn't need and hasn't once looked suitable to a role we could use him for in the PL. This lack of investment led to a catastrophic season, where we flirted with relegation and subsequently had to desperately sign 5 players in January (Debuchy, Mapou, Haidara, Sissoko and Gouffran). These signings ultimately saved us, but they either turned out to be cheap shite (Gouffran), misused/unsuitable (Mapou), sold relatively quickly (Debuchy) or of questionable long-term potential (Haidara). Only Sissoko has been a relative success out of this batch, and for £1.5 million he was a great deal regardless of what you think of him as a player. Then, the next summer we again returned to our policy of signing absolutely fuck all. We also reneged on our supposed 'no loan' policy in signing Remy and then De Jong in January. We however sold Cabaye in January, and saw another absymal run of form that led us to a point of needing to rebuild again (obviously now without Remy). This leads us to last summer and another rebuilding job necessary thanks to the mismanagement; we sign De Jong and Cabella, both who are seemingly at best in the same position, one of which is a crock and one of which is unsuited to the PL. We also sign a plodder like Colback seemingly to simply get one over on Sunderland and Riviere, one of the most clearly from day 1 dud centre forwards you could ever wish to see. Then we spent £7 million on two players from Forest who couldn't even play for us for a year. There has been some bargains in there, like Perez for example. But he was originally meant to be part of the reserve squad FFS. The cunts got lucky on him. Janmaat, despite being a STUPID FUCKING CUNT, was a solid replacement for Debuchy. In general though since January 2012 the overall plan has been inconsistent, the recruitment too narrow, there's been too many poor players signed, too many players signed that didn't fulfill required positions (sign centre backs you stupid cunts) and just a total lack of consistent, decisive and effective squad building. Seriously, considering the pull of the club who's recruitment in the PL has been worse in that period? Probably Sunderland's, that's about it. It's been an absolute fucking shambles, and now we're at the point where we're needing to sign about 6-7 players to begin to turn it around.
  19. Our transfer deals have been absolutely all over the place for years now like. We either sign shite (a), don't sign anybody (b) or sign value/potential where its not needed © or are ripped off because we're trying to make up for the previous mistakes of a, b and c.
  20. Shame we have to bin Cabella to get him. Genuinely would rather keep him around if De Jong is gonna continue to be fucking useless.
