  2. Vehemently disagree, he's a very good player. Yep. He'd be England's best midfielder by an absolute mile.
  3. Man Utd 10 times better without Carrick
  4. What you mean is its exactly the same except Norway and Newcastle are shite now.

He's being played as a workhorse, man. Has been for far too long. In a more static role he'd still get lots of goals and make stuff happen. Exactly. He almost exclusively plays up front on his own. It's ridiculous. He has to cover far too much ground. I'm not at all of the opinion Rooney is as good a player as he has been or would have hopefully been, but to say a player like Kane starts ahead of him is silly, imo. Exclusively upfront on his own? That's not true at all, he played deeper last season for large spells and has frequently played in a two with Welbeck, Hernandez, van Persie etc in the recent past. It's only this season where he's been played upfront on his own because that's where he demanded to play, and Man Utd totally cleared the decks to make it happen. He's played a multitude of different roles over the last few years, each of them with decreasing output as his body has gradually given up on him.

He's being played as a workhorse, man. Has been for far too long. In a more static role he'd still get lots of goals and make stuff happen. Bollocks, he's no good whatever role he plays. Man Utd played themselves into a corner thinking he was their man through the middle, cleared all the decks for Rooney and then realised early on this season what a mistake they'd made. Hence the panic buy of Martial, who already offers far more to the side. Absolutely no chance we should be going into ANOTHER tournament with him in the side. It's just daft when you have Sturridge, Kane, Sterling etc who are all powerful, pacey and hungry. That's our biggest strength because the midfield options (especially when Wilshere is inevitably injured) are poor. We need to be able to worry teams on the break as that's our best bet.

It's not form. He's been in a constant decline since 2011 to the point where he's now a total physical weakling and barely a threat to the opposition. He's done a Torres just with more penalties and less horror misses so nobody has cottoned on.

Rooney is honestly shit. I don't get it. It's as if people don't watch Man Utd these days so don't realise. He's a shit, slow, useless bastard who spends all game waddling around being shit. Martial looked livelier in 5 minutes up top than the cunt has for a good 3 years. Don't even mind Rooney tbh, he's a alreet bloke and has absolutely mugged Man Utd for 250k a week so you've got to congratulate him for that. A proper scouser. But his goose is well and truly cooked.

Kane ahead of Rooney?! Hardly a controversial opinion considering Rooney is shite at football.
  14. Big beneficiaries of Swiss youth football development... or Switzerland are beneficiaries of Kosovar/Albanian immigration. Depending on your viewpoint.
  15. It's a matter of perspective. Klinsmann was brought in with the promise of totally revamping how the U.S. plays football. He's done nothing but promise free-flowing, attacking football for four years, and save for a random game here and there where that's come true, we've largely been the same counter-attacking, beat-them-with-grit side we've always been. And I don't really have a problem with that, maybe it's 'our style' and we should embrace it, as there's nothing that says you can't have a good team that plays solid counter-attacking football. But at least be honest about it and give your team every possible opportunity to excel playing that type of football, which he hasn't done. Fair argument, makes sense.
  16. As bad as he's been tactically or whatever, which you're probably correct about since you watch every game, I don't think he's necessarily fell short of what the US squad's potential is. Last 16 of the WC after coming out of a very strong group was a good effort. They were all over the place for a while in qualifying, but they've clearly got a more talented pool of players IMO. They also seem to be coming out of their shell in terms of moving to European clubs despite having a strong/lucrative league at home.
  17. The US have about as many players having a solid crack at European football as Costa Rica do, and if you take away the Deutsch-American lads and the likes of Johansson it becomes an even grimmer picture. It's not a good record. I know there is a desire for a stronger MLS but that can happen in time. Europe is the holy grail.
  18. Only first post was trolling, last 2 have been accurate critiques
  19. What did Bradley do that Klinsmann hasn't? Last 16 of the WC and being edged out by Mexico in Gold Cups/head-to-head games. That's pretty much the ceiling of the US squad.
  20. In the current squad US have 1 Bundesliga player, 4 lower PL ones (2 of which are goalkeepers) and the rest play in MLS or lower divisions. Only Fabian Johnson will be playing in the CL this season. That's clearly problematic. I know there's players in the MLS who could play in Europe, but the fact the likes of Bradley and Dempsey chose going back to being big fish isn't great for the NT tbh.
  21. Klinsmann has struggled with a very limited talent pool. A 2-3 defeat to a vastly superior Mexico team is an excellent result for the #USMNT.
  22. Obviously only people with a vendetta would leave out Neymar Jr
