  1. What have Forest's academy produced recently? Perch, Michael Dawson, Jenas, Harewood :scared:
  2. Graeme Bailey @GraemeBailey · 7m Newcastle United in for Jamaal Lascelles and Karl Darlow at Nottingham Forest...hoping for quick deals. Probably loan them back.

  4. Impossible that he'd move here from the big club.
  5. My thumbs up were a bit sarcastic. I'm not saying it'll be a good/bad signing, more that its a typical signing of this regime nosing around for a bargain.

    Starting XI

Much to your delight no doubt. Support Pardle at all costs
  8. Why let him go out on loan for the season though? Well he seems to have been a bit of a perennial sub behind Luiz Adriano. They only play with 1 striker there based on every CL game I've seen them play. Plus the whole not going back because of the conflict thing. We've gambled on a player that has a past track record and has been signed by a club with a good scouting network, but has the added caveat of not completely settling and wanting away for non-footballing reasons. A perfect Ashley opportunist gamble

I can't imagine Pardew playing anything other than two of Anita/Tiote/Colback in central midfield mind. Unfortunately so, as we can't afford to have 2 midfielders that are almost virtually guarenteed not to score or create.
  10. A good sign is Shakhtar are probably a top 5 club in Europe in terms of signing South Americans.

Btw I'd pick Yanga-Mbiwa immediately if we had a powerful CB alongside him. At the moment you may aswell just pick 2 CBs from a hat because whatever you put on the pitch isn't going to do the job.

Krul Janmaat Colo Williamson Haidara Sissoko Tiote Ben Arfa de Jong Cabella Riviere/Ferreyra/Cisse - fuck knows basically That's what I'd play as of now in what we have at the club. We need more.
  13. He's going to struggle from the offset with us IMO in that he doesn't appear to have outstanding physical attributes (either pace or strength) to settle in immediately. Even more so in that he's a player that probably relies on service and we're not a team that creates lots of chances. He's probably a good player, but other than the genuine star full internationals (Aguero and Tevez) Argie strikers have struggled to make an impact in England. I hope he does well though, obviously. We need him to to if nothing else.
  14. Yep, and that comes down to lack of coaching ideas at the end of the day. The way Malaga played compared to the other three sides in the tournament was an eye opener. Their movement and passing was on a different level, and you can't tell me that is just down to having players with ability. I doubt their team was assembled for that much more than ours. Their team isn't like the one of a couple of years ago. No money there. Squad is made up of journeymen, cheap signings and youngsters. The lad that scored the first is 20 and the kid that got the other 2 doesn't even have a Wikipedia page.
  15. He wouldn't go to Hartlepool. Most of our young players turn their noses up to moves below the Championship.
  16. He's absolutely shite and the worst thing about this pre-season is he has 'played his way' back into contention. He'll be in the 18 for the opening day.
  17. Keylor Navas to Madrid official.
  18. Oooh look, Rocker's offended by some minor racial profiling.
  19. Reminds me of a poor man's Raheem Sterling
  20. Good result, just a shame Obertan has worked his way into the starting XI vs Man City.
  21. "Alan Pardew works well with players, he gets the best out the players he has" He took charge in December 2010 and was named Barclays Manager of the Season 18 months later, having guided the club to fifth and a place in the Europa League. That was Newcastle's highest finish since the 1996/97 campaign, when they were runners-up to Manchester United. Jesus Christ. It was last week that was the 5th anniversary of SBR's passing and this tit has forgotten his whole reign. Please tell me that someone that commentates on Newcastle every week isn't THAT thick to write that/skim read what his poor intern floozy has written and given it the okay. That's fucking terrible. Nah the top bit isn't Mick Lowes I don't think. Just the second half of it.
  22. That's less than Cardiff paid for him.
