Torres definitlely ahead of Eto'o. Half the time I think Eto'o looks ****, its just because he's got Messi, Henry, Xavi and Iniesta setting it up on a plate for him.

can't understand the hate ? he's here for exactly the same reason as the rest in that we were the best available option at the time. oh, it's cause he's a massive part in our current predicament, in every sense never wanted to be here & would have been gone already given a sniff of a chance same goes for the vast majority of the squad no, it doesn't due to the size of the fee & wages vs return on said investment but i see what you're saying any decent human being would have signed a contract extension with us given what he's provided in terms of value...he hasn't, says it all hope he rots "Hope he rots"? Good god, man. It's only a game. I like how he says he's hated him being here, then says he should sign a contract extension. i didn't say i wanted either doofus, i was suggesting the man should have shown loyalty that's all So if he signs on you'll be pleased? not in the slightest, you? Not bothered either way really, because I know if he signs on again his wages will be much lower. He can never win in your eyes though, that was my point. He leaves and he's unloyal he stays and he's a waste of money. It's been the same for ages, he talks to press then gets shot down for making empty promises, he doesn't talk to the press and he's uncommitted.

Barton? Course he's passionate, he does a bit too much badge slapping/kissing but I don't think you can deny that he genuinely cares. Do you like anything about Newcastle?
-
Messi by a mile. Also, Xavi or Iniesta should replace Kaka in the poll.
-
Steve Gibson banned someone for slagging of Boro, press said nowt. Spurs banned someone from a local paper, hardly anything said. Newcastle do it and people will make a big deal about it. It's not about what you do but who are are, unfortunately.
-
He's not a member of the local press and all of the London papers slag us off regardless so I doubt it'll make any difference at all.

Owen looked pretty happy when Keegan was in charge and looked like a good teammate (even if he will never be a good captain) and to be fair most players would grow disillusioned with the state of the club, especially after his early career success.
-
You think we'd be in this state if he'd have stayed? No, but then i'd say that if he'd not brought him back in the first place we'd not be where we are now. Still his own decision/fault either way though. True, but I reckon any manager of decent standing within the game would of ultimately been forced to go about it similar to Keegan and therefore we were always going to be in this state. Possibly, but again we're back to who did/said/promised/demanded etc what - all been done to death but resurrected many times. Until both sides have their say, we'll never know the true story. However and regardless of who started it, it all comes down to the fact that Ashley wanted KK and made the appointment, if he thought KK was his man he should have had the guts to follow it through. I don't go with the concensus that Ashley is out to intentionally f*** us over, I think he has a genuine want for us to do well, but he's surrounded himself with key personnel who don't really know what they're doing. Yeah? So why did Sportsdirect only pay NUFC something like £40k for what amounts to a blue chip sponsorship package at SJP? On the face of it, it looks like great business for Ashley‘s first love, but shocking business for NUFC. so why is he putting his cash in ? As its his club, he didn't have to put anything in to give one of his companies advertising space. *sorry, thats for Fading Star - picked the wrong 'quote'* so what? If its of no consequence then why did you bring it up in the first place? One could argue he should stop whinging about having to put millions in the club to keep it afloat whilst buying advertising space worth millions for free at the same time. It's not so much pertinent now, but it will become moreso when NR will be replaced by SD as our primary sponsor. True, just thought it was a weak arguement to use that as an indicator that he's intentionally screwing us over. But it is an example of him screwing us over isn't it? Of him using our club to cut himself a good? It proves he’s happy enough to sell the club short as long as he still benefits? I bet he doesn't even pay to get into games.

MINT! We are saved! he'll do better than the other shower of s**** in attack He will do better will he? How do you know that, you been to the future? You ever watched Shola play?
-
I'm proabably going mental but I've got a feeling Beye would stay even if we went down.
-
Coz Ryan Taylor is not doing to well at all, and no point playing a RW at RB when we have other defenders. He's not a RW though, he's a RB. Even though he hasn't been great I'd rather have him there than Edgar.
-
I meant 4 different teams, the 5 wins include beating WBA twice. Ah, my bad.
-
3 I think. Barton vs WBA and Shola vs mackems. Five according to MoTD the other night I think, can't name them though.
-
Just what we need, another overrated "star" who would do nothing for the team. Remember how good he was at motivating the England team when it mattered? Have you seen how well he's done with Mexico? Have you seen how well he did at Goteborg, Benfica and Lazio? 10 years ago. Since then he's done f*** all of any note. Whilst he didn't win anything with England he did alright. - Improved England's FIFA World ranking from 17th place (Jan 2001) to 5th place (July 2006) (highest ranking No.4 during World Cup 2006) - Managed to reach the quarter final in three consecutive tournaments (WC 2002, Euro 2004, WC 2006). No other European country achieved this during this period, and on an international level only Brazil. England was also, apart from Sweden, the only European country that did not suffer elimination from group play or failure to qualify during this time (2001-2006). Coincidentally, the same manager Luiz Felipe Scolari knocked England out of all three of these tournaments, first with Brazil and then twice with Portugal. - Achieved the highest point percentage in Major Tournament Matches of all time for an England manager.[9] - Lost only 5 competitive games and achieved top qualifying place in all three International tournaments during his five and a half years as England manager. - Rated by the FA as England's 2nd most successful Manager after Sir Alf Ramsey.

What have Boro done to make you think they'll stay up? i think he means that west brom and boro below us and then between us hull and makems for the drop which i agree cnt see the others struggling as much as us three Ah. Hull, Boro and West Brom for more to go down, I think we'll just stay up (perhaps even on goal difference).

In all their glory: - Newcastle Vs Bolton Wanderers 1 - 0 Newcastle Vs West Brom 2 - 1 Newcastle Vs Aston Villa 2 - 0 Portsmouth Vs Newcastle 0 - 3 Newcastle Vs Tottenham 2 - 1 West Brom Vs Newcastle 1 - 3 Holy s*** that's scary. Since Keegan left we've only actually beaten 4 teams! Five you mean? Kinnear has only won 4 however.

Chelsea fill their stadium week in, week out. They're awesome supporters, aren't they? No, but Villa fans aren't great either.
