£25m? No club in the world would pay that when the likes of Evra, Abidal etc. were signed for much less. Man City spent £16 million on Kolarov, £22 million on Lescott ... £27 million on Milner? Maybe Man City as an exception but they've just signed Kolarov so you can rule them out as well. Either way, even Real Madrid and Barcelona wouldn't pay that much.

Wolves beat both of those teams this season. If only we had their sterling defence. We looked very poor defensively against both Liverpool and West Brom without him. How is it sad. It's not, we all love Geordie strikers banging them in for Liverpool.

Of course SAFC are in the short term as that is achievable target but getting the points to stay up is still the main target. We probably already have enough points to stay up. Sunderland are below us and in freefall. These are both pretty weak targets. We need to motivate the team by setting a difficult target such as 7th place. I don't think we will be in the market for a CB this summer. Handing Williamson and Saylor five-year contracts, indicative. We've handed them contracts because we need four CBs. If Sol leaves (which is likely) then we'll need one more unless someone like Kadar or Tavernier (I know he's predominately a RB) steps up.
