Was miles better than Souness, Gullit and Allardyce. He was on a hiding to nothing. He was rebound guy. Wasn't even given a decent welcome, and the board were more interested in floating the club. Absolutely agree. It's been quite irritating watching people slagging off his time here at NUFC, the guy has a better track record as manager than many of the 8 or so different managers we've had in the past 7 years. Looks to me like people are letting their anti-Liverpool prejudices blind their vision of him as a manager and as a footballing legend. Sad, really. Why would we care if he's a footballing legend? None of that status was earned at Newcastle so I couldn't give a toss about him. Basically, this... "Looks to me like people are letting their anti-Liverpool prejudices blind their vision of him as a manager and as a footballing legend. Sad, really." How is it 'sad' though? Fans will always hate players/fans from other clubs, Sunderland fans will hate/disrespect Shearer for eternity, who cares? I don't see how its sad really and if you think it is, surely the think the whole thread is sad. Should we be mocking/disrespecting a great club like Liverpool? Do what you like, mate. You're twisting my words and my meaning to suit your own agenda, and I really can't be arsed with you. When's your 18th birthday? Couple of years yet so stay away mate. If you're really that young, how can you be so embittered and warped of vision by that age? It's the way of the world. More to the point, how can you talk such utter bilious s*** about Dalglish when you never saw him play, or manage Liverpool or Blackburn...? What crap have I said about Dalglish? I said no-one has to respect him for what he's done, that's all. Yeah. That's right. You did. How is that talking s*** about him? I don't see how you need to have seen someone play or manage to give an opinion on them. What an odd concept.

I think its more to do with Messi making defences look rubbish tbh. We know for a fact that Championship defences are rubbish and high scoring records in the Championship should be taken with a pinch of salt.
-
Agreed. I hope and pray we keep him. I still think I'll be less annoyed at him than at Carroll though. If we get the end of the summer and he's still here I'd be absolutely chuffed and I'd be pissed off if the club didn't do all they can to keep him.
-
We can't begrudge him a move if he goes, unlike Carroll. We'll get good wedge for him.
-
Nolan behind Ewerton.
-
YES

Chelsea would be there for M'Vila or Sakho I'd assume. Edit - we've been linked with Chantome before haven't we ?
-
Mavreaux wasn't even in the squad so it wasn't for him then. Interesting. http://www.lfp.fr/ligue1/feuille_match/53837 Hmm..you should know by now how big of a shambles our club can be. We don't plan or anything like that you know? We probably wen on the off-chance he'd play.

Harper's Elbow (Most Electrifying Move In Football)
Frazzle replied to Taylor Swift's topic in Football
Best definitely grabs his arse (his own) after Harper goes down on him. Think he gave him a dead arse rather than a hamstring injury though. -
Where is this?!!?!? Search words....
-
My advice would be to bring in Joe Kinnear.
-
Do they normally announce this sort of thing straight away (pre-contracts)? Or do we have to wait till the summer to find out if its a goer?
-
0-0 between WH and Birmingham is probably the best result for us isn't it?
-
It's definitely Everton. I've got a Brazilian mate with the same name.
-
We'll get him to live with Nolan. He'll get his hunger back.
-
Coloccini even popped up on the right wing yesterday, I had to rub my eyes. We also had a corner which he started to run into the box before Barton played the ball to where he'd started from, that could have been a brilliant move if he'd waited. He seems to have more licence to get forward under Pardew, which is a good thing IMO as his technique is up there with the best in our squad. The corner thing, if its the one I'm thinking of, was similar to the one against Wigan. Didn't work as well this time though as you say.

His attempted overhead kick would have been mental if it had've went in. To even have your CB attempt a shot like that is mental. Could you see Robert Huth doing that?
