Ronaldo is a better physical specimen than Messi but so is C.Ronaldo arguably, doesn't mean he is a better player. If you were arguing that, which I'm not sure you were, anyway....

Ronaldo used to be my favourite player. Was quality at the '98 WC. Still not as good as Messi though.

Nolan’s goals have brought us 3 points this season, we might have had a lot more points if we had somebody more effective in his position when he's not scoring. How do you work that one out? It's a bit simplistic to take away his goals where we won by a big margin and only count goals that mathematically won the game. Against Sunderland he won a point in the away game and set us on our way in the home game. Are you saying that if we take away his goals against Sunderland we would've won 2-1 in the home game? Also at West Ham away, without Nolan's goal, Carroll's goal wouldn't have been the winner. Against West Ham at home he got the third goal to kill the game off, before that it was 2-0, not biggest margin to come back from as we all know! I don't think you can just minus his goals and say we wouldn't won 2-1 etc. without them most of his goals have changed games.

Marcelo is the best attacking LB in the world right now. Lucky for him because he can't defend to save his life.

Look at the fixture list, I've noticed that after Birmingham we only play 3 games until the start of April. That's 3 games in 6 1/2 weeks. It's perfect for us as two of our better players have long term injuries. Ben Arfa may only miss four more games and be fit for Wolves on 2nd April, hopefully anyway.

Tiote does it, beat his man and drives forward or makes a pass. Parker does **** all. The gulf between Tiote and Parker was shown in both games this season.

Being a big club has absolutely nothing to do with trophies. Nothing. You're confusing it with a successful club. Which we obviously are not. Exactly. I can't believe so few people grasp this.

I've heard of lies, damned lies and statistics, but this is ridiculous - how many decent chances have been created an MISSED ? Also, 2 pens in the Arsenal game, so only 10 on 6 games from open play. Also, how many did we concede playing in those games v Bolton and WBA ? 8, I believe it was..... You can extract anything you like from any period to prove your point but we are living with reality here.. Tiote scored HOW many before last week ? Its not even his job and he won't get many more...how many will Coloccini get and it was his goal that won us a point against Spurs...? We have, as the expert alpal has pointed out, now lost Carroll and he has been replaced by a 34 yr old has been....we are looking at where the goals will come from in the NEXT 6 games, not the past. You had better hope that Best keeps doing it because Ranger and Lovenkrands won't....see yesterday. I'm confused. Why have you brought up the WBA and Bolton games? Those games weren't in the last six and Carroll played in both. 10 goals from 6 games is bad? Seems reasonable to me. I also didn't realise we were taking away pens from our tally, they all count so I'm not sure why. Stay confused - its easier that way...! I see your argument has fallen apart then. Bless.

Jesus, 3 matches!

How do the bookings work after his next ban? If he gets another five before the end of the season does he get a 1 or 2 game ban?

Anyone see Robinson at the end of the game? Applauding all of us and ignored the home home fans, was weird.

You didn't even answer my question though, why would teams who have tried to meet the requirements (Man U are one, I think) sit idly by while Chelsea break the rules? I know you're saying there will be loopholes but do you think clubs the size of Man U are going to let other clubs bend these rules to gain an advantage? I'm saying the same clubs that have set the rules are the most likely to find the loopholes. Let's wait and see how it pans out. Let's see how well the rules are working in 2 or 3 years time. Unless they all decide to use the loopholes there will be hell on. A club that has spent five years sorting itself out will not allow another club to ignore the rules, IMO. As you say though, I guess we will have to wait and see. Will be interesting, certainly, to see how clubs approach.

The 'big boys' agreed to the rules.
-
A player who plays half the season can't really win player of the season IMO
-
Even when other big clubs are abiding by the rules and seeing their peers exploit them? Yep. There will be a way around it. Why would say, for example, Inter Milan and Barcelona allow Chelsea to bend the rules? It's not big clubs v small clubs, it's big clubs v big clubs. There won't be bullying, it will be heavyweights v heavyweights.

Big clubs will be on UEFA's back to punish the clubs breaking the rules. All of the big clubs agreed to these rules, why would the back out now? Some big clubs have already started preparing and so as soon as UEFA try to bend the rules other massive clubs will complain.

Thrash them please. Having a Barcelona fan on the forum is like being mates with the hardest kid at school.

Brilliant stuff. You think you do? I think it helps. Have you ever studied history? Most people give opinions on events that have happened in the past. Video evidence helps but it is not essential especially when you are considering somebody's merits as a football manager. All of which is irrelevant to the original point I made of course, which is not no-one has to respect Dalglish. Who would want to? He's Scottish and looks like an alcoholic.
