precisely Agree. Also recall him speaking out in transfer window after transfer window about how the squad needed strengthened. He clearly wanted to win honours as a player at Newcastle, lost his rag after years of false dawns and thought there was a real opportunity to do that at Man City when he was the wrong side of 30. Whether it worked out that way for him is pretty irrelevant, he took the gamble based on faith in his own ability. I do wish he'd hung around another 6 months mind, I'd agree with the "neither clap nor boo" lot, which is a shame because he was a great player for us.
