  1. It would with a better pricing structure, easily.
  2. £100m if you win it. Realistically you get the equivalent of the Champions League qualification money just for getting out of the group stages. Aye.
  3. I do think the training ground one is dragging on a bit, but I have also always been under the impression that they one of the government buildings in either Benton or along Benton after they move into the city centre. The stadium one is frustrating in the sense that it keeps getting promised that we’ll hear something and we don’t. However what would you rather have, then rush releasing what they are doing and getting it wrong, or wait a little longer and get the stadium perfect?
  4. They’ve priced it incorrectly. They have taken an NFL price structure for tickets simply because it’s being hosted on the USA. They’ve also read far too much into the Messi Inter Miami tickets selling for hundreds. If this was held in the U.K. or a European country, every game would be a sellout (although not with the initial pricing structure), same for South America.
  5. Excellent opportunity for us.
  6. Last I know she got rightly slated for that saga, she deleted Twitter and I think that was that.
  7. Yeah, I want a tattoo of the cup, but it’s not going to have Carabao on the ribbons. I’d probably go for League Cup.
  8. I remember £55 being a priced used at some point because that Holly Blades lass spat her dummy out at the prices, right after she had spent time on Twitter having a go at non-season ticket holders and those who have had to give their season tickets up for various reasons.
  9. Isn’t she that lass from Jonathan Creek?
  10. Commentator sounded like he was in the opposite stand earlier on.
  11. Atletico Mardid don’t look anything special here.
  12. Fair enough. Just narrowing down the location would be a plus at the moment.
  13. I honestly don’t think we’ll get renders to be honest. We’ll end up with a report that says this is what is achievable, this is what it could offer us, this is what fans/the FAB think, and at most we’ll get what Birmingham City did through the week and give you an outline of a stadium on the proposed site, with the ‘final stadium design to be determined’ marker. People need to be prepared for this.
  14. You can’t really, unless for the European teams at least it’s used as a pre-season friendly. The only other alternative is to replace our respective Champions Leagues with a global season long CWC. How it would work playing someone away in Australia on a Wednesday night, and being back to play Burnley on the Saturday is more difficult.
  15. They were interested in Spurs. Levy/ENIC kept asking for more money. I also think that at the time the secret talks over the ESL were happening and Levy wanted to wait until that started in order to get more money for them. Staveley came to them and put the idea of buying us to them instead.
  16. I think it’s a good idea, it is just hard to get it to work practically. It means that if you have it in the summer then pretty much every club outside of Europe has to interrupt their season. If you have it in the winter, then the European teams have to interrupt their season. In all fairness, having it 2-3 weeks later would have worked better for the European clubs, as it could have been a pre-season build up for them.
  17. Does that apply for the Australian clubs as well? If not then it means Wellington get the remaining 50%. It would be like us qualifying for it, and giving Sunderland half the money.
  18. Aye, but the stupid cunts think they’ll be on the Bayern side of the scoreline.
  19. Yeah pretty much. They also signed a sponsorship agreement not long ago.
  20. Auckland get the least amount of entry money at £2.6m. The African, and Asian teams get £7m, the South Americans get £11.2m, and the European teams get between £9.4m, and £28.2m. That is just for entering. Apparently Auckland are a part time side, so it could be a hefty fee for them.
  21. Some PIF advertising in the CWC match there.

    St James' Park

So here is a question. Let’s assume we get a Leazes Park/Castle Leazes stadium. However there is a good chance that if it is located there, then the pitch orientation would change from the North/South one we have now, to an East/West orientation. In this scenario which goal end would people prefer to have has our home end? I’d say an East goal end would be closer to the city centre. You could argue that it would be better having away fans nearer to Barrack Road as well.
  23. 6-0 for Bayern Munich at half time.
  24. Aye game done, the European teams are going to absolutely dominate this tournament. I wonder how long the Americans will continue to be interested in it once Inter Miami and Messi are out.
