I saw Kieron Dyer years ago at the cinema's at Silverlink, it was actually the day Goal came out. I asked to shake his hand (I was young and stupid), so he put down all his popcorn and drinks etc that he was carrying just to shake my hand. My next door neighbours saw him the week after at wrestling at the arean.

Funny how I can't remember reading or hearing about him, I heard a rumour of a local consortium but that ages before the email thing came about.

To all those who say Fat Fred would be better then having Ashley, thats true, but I'd rather have Saddam Hussain run this country then Hitler, doesn't mean I would kiss his as# if he did.

Shepherd's doing with our club exactly what Ashley did with Sports Direct. Hide the s***, sell high, buy back low. Bottom feeder of the highest magnitude. Exactly, the only thing the bloke has going for him is he's ran a football club before, even so not very well. If the Profitable group or any other for that matter have someone with experience of running a football club or even a big sports club then they will be a much better prospect then Sheperd's. By the looks of it the profitable group seem to be the only one showing ambition for the club, buying players, giving fans a say, increasing the stadium, it all points to them wanting to be in the top half of the EPL and in Europe fighting the big guns.
-
It may give us a chance, or a bit of revenge to all the Europien teams who were glad that we didn't make it last year.

Seriously? From what I've read on here I thought they tore you a new asshole that game Played in midfield most of the game, noone really deserved to win, they did up it in the 2nd half but nah, I think they were rather unlucky tbh.

I think that has got to be the biggest piece of bull since Jordan insisted her boobs were real.

I would love to see a world cup without Portugal and Argentina, it is also likely that Nigeria may miss out, not as big as the other two but have always been a familer team and can cause upsets. I would rate England as as 3rd Fav's at the moment, with Spain and Brazil ahead of them, and I think we can beat both, are B team did well against Spain and were unlucky not to get anything out of the games a few month's ago. Both Portugal and Argentina have shown that they are beatable, so I would say our main threats are Spain, Brazil, Germany, and Holland and Italy should be teams to look out for aswell.

I don't really want him, I like the idea that the profitable group have, sort of like a President that the supporters vote in, at the moment I want the profitable group to take over, because they have (some) experience in football, they can provide spnsers to the club aswell as investors, they seem to have near on world wide access and the nature of their work goes hand in hand with the conference centre and facilties we have at St James' Park. If Shepard was to throw his hat into the ring as president then fair enough, if you want him vote for him, but this bloke even though did make some good choices for us, but it was all in aid of his own cause.
-
I was hoping this game would go into double figures, but I can't see 7 goals coming in the 2nd half, they could of uped it a bit in the 1st half.

Whats the chance of Newcastle vs Swansea being the first or last game of the season?
-
I'm going to keep my hopes up about the deal, everyone who says they are interested in buying the club will have an article in a paper the next day saying it isn't so. I remember when Ashley bought out Hall, an article came out saying he was not going to buy out Shepard. And where did they find this info out from?, we go weeks without hearing anything, even the papers that are close to the club, so I dobt anything would of been said to this paper out of any of them.

No it didn't. -
Is noone going to say it? Shearer against Everton, that goal, also the 3-2 win over Sunderlol, I was behind the goal when Emre's freekick went in, it was the first derby I had been to, what about Shearer's record breaking goal against Pompy?, the atmosphere during that game was amazing. Also my very first Premiership game, against Boro we were 1-0 down and were the better team, we won it in the last few minutes, I remember being next to the away fans, cracking atmosphere their aswell.

There were stories around back in January that they needed to offload players to balance the books. Even with their SPL win they won't have pocketed too much more money and the potential loss of TV revenue could f*** them over. It wouldn't have too much of an effect on them though, they still have a huge, fanatical fanbase and Champion's League football so even if they were to go under they would likely find a buyer. Thats what I think, their too good of a team not to be bought, sort of reminds me of another team, can't for the life of me wounder who though. -

Their are rumours flying around that Rangers, yes Rangers could be one of the 3 SPL teams to be under threat of going under if Setanta goes. -

I heard Virgin may bid for the remaining rights, meaning everyone will leave Sky to go to Virgin and Sky will go down the pan within a few years. -

ESPN Like I said in an earlier post, it's good that an amatuer network and an overpriced one aswell (unless your on Virgin) is going, but it's bad for the clubs, especially the small ones and also the people who work for them. -
He did aquire it. That is one of the theories i have heard re him putting us into Administration. He creates a new company, transfers all assets such as land to this new company and leaves only the players in the Football Company and puts that into administration.

The old brewrey site is going to have the science city on it, work should start withing a couple of months.

Give Shearer money, give fans more say, expand St James' Park to 60,000, it too good to be true, but if so, I'll go back to religion and Lick god's backside untill something f#cks it all up again.

I heard that ESPN were going to make bids for the rights that Setanta would drop, meaning that we will get couple more ESPN channels, I was about to say that it would mean that the coverage would no longer be amature, but this is Americans with amature sports defined as great sports also with the name Soccer and defense is deeeeeeeeeeeeeeefence, I have now made a bet that if they do get the rights we will soon be hearing Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooal. -

You can, but who would want to?, I've never been one to sit up early in the morning for highlights, of course this year I may have to change that habbit, the Journo bit became boring years ago, then they did away with Jimmy Hill because that t*** from the Mirror or something never let him or anyone else have a word in and now he's running the show offically this time, and it was starting to have too much crap about Newcastle in them. I tend to only watch the one game on a Sunday, usually the later one because thats the more interesting unless it's Newcastle who are playing in the earlier one. The Spanish games I never watch unless it's Barca vs Madrid or something decent, the fact that no matter what half your watching the clock always counts up to 45 so you don't know how far your into the game and the guy in the studio starts to speak Spanish halfway through every conversation, plus Sky1 usually has a good drama on at that time on a Sunday.
