It would be a good idea but I can't see it, anyway has anyone ever wounderd how the top 4 play each other on the same day every year, it's eaither Man Utd vs Arsenal and Chelsea vs Liverpool or visa versa, visa versa again, I mean that weird for a fixture list that is surposed to be as random as they can make them. -

I'm sure that was ITV, because it was a later round game. -

Have we ever lost a competitive game that was shown live on 5? I actually think that we may of won them all, 5 used to do the early rounds of the Uefa Cup so I struggle to remember a game that we may of lost or even drawn. Drew against Frankfurt and either Ventspils or Tallinn at home at least, but I always quite liked 5's coverage. Knowingly amateur, didn't take itself too seriously and pretty funny. 1 or 2 draws out of how many games, 5 buy the rights to the Championship please. -
I think they have made some sort of city law that means nothing else can be built on there apart from a football stadium.

Personally I'm split, Setanta has always been good for Newcastle especially in either friendlies or the Intertoto Cup and I would hate to see it effect Newcastle in terms of finance it would come at the wrong time for us, I would also hate to see almost all of the SPL teams apart from the Old Firm teams go down aswell. On the other hand I would love to see more games on BBC, ITV or 5 for Premiership and also SPL, so I think a medium of where they can gather enough money to pay everyone but have to sell their remaining rights would be ideal in my opinion. -
Confirmed on the beeb site: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/tyne/8081039.stm Sad.

Good result for England then.

What happend between Ukraine and Croatia?, and also when and who do Scotland play next, would be good to see them go through, Norway drew today and have not won any of their first set of games in the group.
-
90-93, would be good to beat Sunderlol's record though.
-
Just the extra eight league games and the extra round in the League Cup. Not anymore, we enter the League Cup at the same stage as the teams in the Premiership who arn't in Europe.
-
Nothing to shout about really, we just start off in the league cup where we would of in the Premiership if we didn't play in europe.

Hexham is further away then what Shields is, Hexham is about 20 miles away, where as Shields is about 6. Anyway, this could either be really good for them or really bad, I don't think he has it in him to make them top 6 or anything, but enough for mid table. It really just means he has f#cked up his chance of ever becoming our manager.

Adams for Celtic? Well he seems to think there's a chance

It would be a bad move for Celtic, whatever happend to Billy Davis?, I'm sure he would take it. -
I have the toon logo on my left upper arm, but in plain black, I've wanted it since I was 14, but didn't like how the blue banner cannot all be blue, but when I went on holiday in late 07 I got it in henna, I thought it looked great in plain black, so got it done in plain black about 4 month's later. It looks mint, better then the coloured version, but I still think the henna guy did it better. Anyway I'm thinking about getting another tattoo on my heart, and when I went to get it priced last week I also saw a tribal style seahorse and I would like that on my other upper arm as it's a signal of the city (I will have to think about it for months though, because I believe a tattoo is not something you should just get for the sake of it, you really need to know if you want one).

JJB, I'm not even going to mention Sports........

Reminds me of something I thought the other day. How come Mackems don't boycott Greggs? Because it's only us Geordies who know where it's from, noone else actually knows it from here. Also how can they boycott it, would be rather pointless since research shows that most mackems shop in Newcastle, over 60%, where as only 9% of them shop in Sunderland, I think 30% shop in the Metro Centre.

It looks like they are a building, construction, developement and also a holiday comapny based in the Dubia or some sort. The leader is a man called Hanif Shaikh.

So do I I don't think an 83 year old Swede with a semi-on for flat pack furniture would be interested in us. The IKEA-ideoligy fits last seasons squad: We accept your money, but don't care about the job or the result - help yourself...... thats so true though

So do I I don't think an 83 year old Swede with a semi-on for flat pack furniture would be interested in us. If it does come off it means he could build us a new stadium from a flat pack using only alan keys with a retro look.

I've just heard a rumour that Ingvar Kamprad is one of the two interested parties in taken over the club. I really doubt it, but do hope so. I only heard from a text from a friend of a friend who works at St James', I doubt it's true, but we can all live in hope.
-
Just a media ploy by him, managers and players do it the time, use a team like sunderland who are interested, he says he's flatterd, some bigger club has a look, doesn't want to miss out and comes calling and sunderland sit their twiddling their thumbs. The same thing happend at Newcastle all the time, Rooney, Ronaldo (striker), Ronadlinho, and other managers.

I don't think so because we don't owe any third party, such as a bank, any money. Ashley has financed the club with his own money so we're safe from administration if that's what you mean. And we are still a very viable business for someone with just a little bit more nous than Mike f***ing Ashley. Erm, I think the whole gist of the the thread is that actually we owe Barclays quite a lot of money. Really, I thought the only bank we would be dealing with would be Northern Rock, hmmmm, and didn't Ashley transfer alot of the debt that he couldn't pay off onto Sports Direct, so we only owe them money.
