  1. Yeah, Willock is a complete waste of a space now. He’s fully checked out on us. Multiple times the ball was right next to him with an opposition player and he didn’t chase it until the opposition player had passed him and was 5 yards away.
  2. They look fucking gash. We haven’t got going, but are the better team. It took them 2 stoppage time goals to beat West Ham last week, their only win in 6 games. If they get a European place, they’ll be shown up. They are on the beach and we are just sitting staring at them on the sun loungers.
  3. There are fucking shit, and are playing for time. Meanwhile we are just standing off them, not passing forward, playing it across our back line as if it’s us winning and waiting the game out. Fucking get at them man, their fucking shit.
  4. We have been the better team, they have just got their goal that they seem to pick out of their arse against us time and time again.
  5. I know, knew he wasn’t getting through there.
  6. Fucking hate Brighton. Fucking pointless club, even look at the crowd, no one there.
  7. Fuck off man. Just let him palm you off aye?

Except both us and Villa are owned by billionaires and are amongst the richest sporting clubs in the world due to ownership wealth. We’ve also both employed very good managers who have now been in their position for 3 years, and had the support of their boards during rough periods. Nottingham Forest struggled for 2 years, and even got a points deduction because of how they had to spend money to rebuild their squad. Brighton repeatedly sell their best players at the first opportunity, and have arguably taken a step backwards since their European qualification a couple of seasons ago. I can’t see their supporters sticking by them in any of those scenarios, nor can I see their owner throwing them the money required to build a squad that could compete further up the Premier League. If they do go up, he’ll likely sell to the first American consortium who get in contact with him.
  9. I’m not saying he wouldn’t want to join, I’m saying it will make it more difficult and more expensive for Parish to do a deal.
  10. Big problem if Palace win the FA Cup though. I’d imagine it would be harder and more expensive to get players out of Palace then.
  11. Saw this on social media. It shows exactly what it means to people.
  12. I don’t know why, but I’m sure Southampton used to always beat them towards the end of the season when we were in relegation battles with them.
  13. Imagine if we did finish 2nd man. That would be insane.
  14. So basically finishing 2nd is in our own hands, assuming Bournemouth hold on. Fuckers better get something out of the Aston Villa match next weekend.

Huddersfield once went up through the playoffs without scoring a goal.
  16. Are they? They still have to offset the losses from the last 2 seasons, and their sponsorship income has bottomed out. Their match day income will increase with more fans turning up, but that will be working to offset the previous 2 years of shit accounts.

I know that their arse has fell out in the last few games, but I honestly think they’ll go up. I think the only team they couldn’t beat would have been Burnley. Of course it would be hilariously funny if Coventry knock them out, or they lost in the final again. If they do come up though I couldn’t really give a fuck. I’d be nervous ahead of the derby because they are fluky enough to beat us, and you can guarantee that they’ll be given us after a midweek European tie. However over the course of the season, we won’t be anywhere fucking near them. We will be doing different things. We will be trying to assemble a squad that can compete for a title challenge in a few years, they will be trying to assemble a squad that can hang onto a Premier League place for when the Premier League decide to close shop.
  18. Will they offer better wages? Even with their takeover aren’t they still going to be close to PSR limits? New stadium aside, theirs nothing really all that positive about the club at the minute, and no real indication that they will be finishing above Brentford any time soon. If Brentford keep a hold of Thomas Frank, I think their ceiling for the time being is better than Everton’s, even more so if they sneak that last European place.
  19. So many empty seats at the Emirates, and they want to extend to 80k.
  20. Genuine question, why would any player leave Brentford for Everton right now?
  21. Not really weeks ago. I mean if we drew with Villa instead of getting hammered, we’d be in a much better position, but we had won something like 6 games on the bounce by then and Villa was our 3rd game in a week. You don’t often get 7 game winning streaks, or even 7 games unbeaten, plus the 3 games afterwards that would have been required. Since the beginning of December, our form has been insane to be honest.
